I've been thinking of changing the name of this site for a while. This definitely encourages the idea that the name should be changed. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi, I just got bored and thought I'd say something so it looks like I'm still working on the site. There are more articles and things in the works, and as always, feel free to let me know what you'd like to see and what your favorite articles have been.

A few interesting things were posted on the mac-homm mailing list. First of all, you can get the Macintosh version of Heroes III Complete from CompUSA for only $19.99 if you go here. People have also posted a fix for the "Spoils of War bug" in Heroes III Complete. I've temporarily posted that here.

Gamespot's new Heroes IV preview contains 6 pages of information, screenshots, and video clips. It's definitely worth checking out if you are interested in the game.

Be sure to stop by Heroes Community if you want to talk with other Heroes players online. There are discussions about Heroes IV, towns, and strategy. The moderators there are pretty cool as well.

The Apple Store has been increasing their game selection over the past year, and they now carry about 80 games, including Heroes III Complete. I'm glad to see it available in more places, for that allows more people to play this excellent game. When the original Heroes III was released for Macintosh, it wasn't easy to find in stores. If you haven't played Heroes III yet, check out the demo at MacGameFiles. It's gotten 9,000 downloads there, and an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 from people who tried it out.

Lately, I've added a few people to the player list in the Tavern, and I've been getting a few e-mails, so I know people are actually visiting this site. If you have any ideas, article submissions, suggestions, or complaints, feel free to e-mail me.

Computer Games Online has a Heroes IV Preview. Most of the information has been available for a while now, but some of it may be new to some people. There is also an ad on the side of the page that lists the game's release date as October 1, 2001. Of course, we all know how reliable release dates are.

Maranthea (Jennifer Bullard) stopped by the 3DO Community message boards yesterday and answered a variety of questions about Heroes IV and herself. A summary of what she talked about can be found at Celestial Heavens Unleashed.

M&M Portals has posted an interview with David Mullich (Sir Mullich) that contains a lot of information about Heroes IV.

There is a Heroes IV Interview at GameSpot that contains some new information about the game.

Mac Addict posted a short review for Heroes III Complete.

I heard that Mac Addict magazine has a review of Heroes III Complete in their newest issue, and they gave it a rating of "freakin' awesome". It will most likely be posted on their website eventually.

I heard a game called Final Chronicles was released in UK recently. It is similar to the earlier Heroes Chronicles games, and contains two new 8-scenario campaigns you can play through. One of them has you playing Tarnum from the Fortress, and his specialty is Basilisks.

I've updated the Heroes IV page with some new information about magic, pirates, system requirements, and heroes.

A very interesting Heroes IV Interview was posted on Astral Wizard. My favorite thing was that the game will have pirates. Being a rogue myself, I greatly admire pirates.

The newest Training Hall at Mac Heroes has opened! You can learn all about magic in the Mage Guild, which features two articles by our new writer Harukaba.

There is a new mailing list called mac-homm that gives mac users a place to set up games, discuss tech-support issues, and other stuff related to the Heroes of Might and Magic series. You can join by sending e-mail to: mac-homm-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Today I added the 45th person to the Player List in the tavern. If you're not on the list yet, feel free to join it if you want to find people to play with. I also added an article called Sharpshooters vs. everyone to the Training Grounds.

Ok, now all of you tactical geniuses out there can contribute to this site using the article submission form to send in your own guides.

I've made a handful of small changes to this site, mostly involving me moving the last of the old content over here. Now that I've got that taken care of, I hope to post some new articles on here next week on a variety of relevant things.

I've more or less finished moving Mac Heroes to it's new home at StrategyPlanet. I've updated the Heroes IV page with some new information about Heroes, Caravans, and a bit of the story.

Yes, we've all known it for some time now, but yesterday, 3DO officially announced Heroes IV in this press release, but there is still no official word on a Macintosh version.

The June issue of CGW finally appeared on store shelves in the small city where I live. I'm two weeks behind the rest of the world, but I updated the Heroes IV page with more information and a couple scans. I also modified some of the flavor text by the screenshots. Lastly, I added a somewhat in-depth look at the interface of Heroes IV.

Combat Training 1 and Combat Training 2 were both updated, and I also added the first two Fantasy Deathmatch articles to the Training Grounds.

I found another site that is hosting the Heroes III Complete Demo. You can get it at Happy Puppy.

All Your Stronghold Are Belong To Us is a rather interesting and unusual look at some Heroes IV screenshots hosted by Celestial Heavens Unleashed. CHU also has a good deal of Heroes IV screenshots posted. I've fallen a bit behind on that, but I have oodles of Heroes IV stuff on the way.

Combat Training 2 has been added to the Training Grounds section on this side, and I'll be adding Fantasy Deathmatch in the near future as well.

This site is moving to StrategyPlanet, which is part of the GameSpy Network, and it's new home will soon be here. This will result in me having one banner ad per page, as opposed to me currently having none. On the positive side, I'll be in a more populated area which should lead to more visitors on the site, and I'll have more resources with which to expand this site.

I've updated my Heroes IV section with a lot of pictures, descriptions, and information. I'm putting up even more pictures and information next week.

There are some Heroes IV town screenshots at Celestial Heavens Unleashed, my sister-site on StrategyPlanet.

In the Library I've added a link to an Ultima Map, which is a Heroes III map that is based on the world from the Ultima computer games. Fans of that series may want to check it out.

I've added a couple more links to the Portals page.

There is a good deal of information and some new high-quality screenshots of Heroes IV available at Portals of Might and Magic. You can also see ten screenshots of the game here, but they appear to be the same as the ones at Portals of Might and Magic. Another site called Freelancer has even more pics. I will be adding some new stuff to the Heroes IV section on this site in the next few days.

Please, please, hold the applause... Yes, it is true, I have returned! "Returned from where," you might ask? Well, actually, I've been here all along. Sadly, school has forced me to spend my time at the computer writing programs and doing other nasty things instead of playing games and working on this website. Can I sue for that? It's no matter, now I'm back on summer vacation, and I'll have all the time in the world to goof off and do what I want to do... except when I'm at work. Er... look for more updates soon. The cover of an upcoming issue of Computer Game World can be seen here and it will apparently contain an article about Heroes IV.

The list of "Top 10 Games" at Mac-O-Rama shows Heroes III Complete in 6th place. It was in 2nd place before, but being in the middle of the top ten several months after it's release is still a good showing.

MacGamer.com has posted a review of Heroes III Complete.

The Heroes III Complete Demo available at macgamefiles has now had over 7,000 downloads and has been ranked 4.5 out of 5 joysticks by 35 readers. That's pretty impressive for such a huge download. Over the past couple months, Heroes III Complete for Mac has falled from second place to third and then fourth over at 3DO Store, but it is nice that it's been staying in the Top 5 for so long.

I am incredibly busy with school right now, so I won't be updating this site very often until the beginning of May. I will update with any Heroes IV news and I'll add any strategy guides that are sent, but I will not be likely to add any new sections until April is over.

I know I'm a week late with this, but I finally added a Heroes IV page to the site.

There is a Heroes IV Screenshot that was recently released.

The Heroes III Complete demo at macgamefiles has passed 6,000 downloads over the past week, but it has also fallen off of the ten most popular downloads list. However, it is still on the list of ten most popular demos. The demo has an overall rating of 4.5 from the 30 people that rated it so far.

I added a page for Heroes of Might and Magic to the Games section and also made small changes to other parts of the site.

Even though cheating is the opposite of learning, a list of cheat codes has been added to the Training Grounds.

A short Tower strategy guide has been added to the Training Grounds.

A short Rampart/Creature strategy guide has been added to the Training Grounds.

This site has become a member of the Age of Heroes webring. The webring links are at the bottom of the Town Hall, Portals, and Random pages.

Inside Mac Games has a review of Heroes III Complete and a giveaway contest where three lucky winners will each win a copy of Heroes III Complete. The giveaway appears to be a joint effort between Inside Mac Games and 3DO. I hope that quiets some of the people who say 3DO ignores the Mac.

According to the listing at Chips and Bits, there are three more Heroes Chronicles games coming out in March. Their titles are: The Sword of Frost, Revolt of the Beastmasters, and The Final Chapter. I first heard of this on the Astral Wizard site.

The Heroes III Complete demo at macgamefiles has been downloaded over 5250 times and is still on the most popular list.

I added some links to the portals page and added an opinions section to the town hall.

3DO lowered the price of Heroes III to $29.99, so it is no longer the same price as Heroes III Complete.

I added MacMager 1.3, a Heroes II Utility, to the Library.

I added links to H3Trio and IMG's 3DO on the Mac feature. I also added an ad I found to the random page.

I made every entry in the Site Index into a link and added a Mission Statement and an About... page to the site.

Heroes III Complete is in second place on the 'Top 10 Games' list at Mac-O-Rama, but I don't know what kinds of quantities are involved. Other retailers have been selling out shipments quickly, which is good, but there are also lots of retailers that haven't gotten the game in stock yet.

I made small changes to some pages on the site that are too numerous and insignificant to bother mentioning. Can you find them all?

For all of you who were waiting for the right time to buy Heroes III Complete, Compuexpert has the game for $25.90. That's an incredible price, and it's cheaper than either expansion would have costed seperately. Of course, this deal will probably be over by the time anybody reads this - it's a 48 hour thing.

I've been a little busy lately, but I've got a handful of updates for the site tonight. To start, I updated the Games page with more platforms the Heroes games were available on and I added a page for King's Bounty. I also added links to Mac Game Database and their Heroes III Complete review on the Portals page.

I'm going to be adding a web-based form where people can send feedback and submit strategies and other input for the site. I might also start a mailing list for the site where people can discuss strategies and set up games and things like that. I will only do that if people are interested, so e-mail me if that is something you might like.

The Heroes III Complete demo at macgamefiles.com is still lingering in the top ten, despite being out for 3 1/2 weeks now. I guess you could attribute some of that to the lack of new game demos coming out recently, but at least people are trying it out.

I made a small beginning strategy guide for playing the Stronghold as a project for my Electronic Imaging class. I will link to it from my portals and training grounds pages after I fix all of the Netscape problems in it. Unfortunately, those Netscape problems will prevent me from getting a good grade on the project. :-(

I added some new links to the portals section, rewrote the Heroes Chronicles page, and made some other small updates. One of the links is for information about Heroes IV.

I noticed some intersting things while wandering around 3DO's website: Heroes III Complete for Mac was #2 on the 'most popular' list in the 3DO Store. (I just have to wonder how they came up with that.) 3DO's website seems to be getting more mac-friendly, including Macintosh Instructions on the Heroes Chronicles Download page. Lastly, why is 3DO charging the same amount for Heroes III as they are for Heroes III Complete? I mean, anybody who reads the descriptions wouldn't buy Heroes III if they can get Heroes III Complete for the same price.

I added a Heroes Chronicles page to the Games section and I linked to some Heroes Chronicles movie clips in the Library.

The Heroes III Complete demo at macgamefiles has been downloaded over 2400 times and is in 5th place on their 'most popular' list. The demo is also at macupdate where hundreds of people have downloaded it. Hopefully this will bring an influx of new players into the community.

On Friday (Jan 12) a Mac Demo for Heroes III Complete was released at macgamefiles.com. In the two days since it was posted, it's been downloaded over 1,000 times and is in 9th place on the 'most popular' list. Most people seem to have liked it, but many people didn't understand how to play it because there was no manual included. Fortunately...

To help people with the demo, 3DO has given me permission to post the Heroes III Help Manual online. It doesn't contain any information specific to the new things in Heroes III Complete, but it does tell you how to play the game.

As you may have noticed, the site is a different color. Basically, the site wasn't rendering properly in Netscape, so I redid a lot of the HTML and graphics to make it work right. This is the result. Hopefully it works properly in all browsers now. I didn't make many changes besides that. Now that the Netscape problem is taken care of, I can devote my time to adding content.

I found a bug in Heroes III Complete that causes the game to quit if you click on the Spoils of War campaign. I also heard there was a multiplayer bug that involved trading with allies . If anybody finds any other bugs, please e-mail me, and I will try and get the information to the right people.

Pre-orders of Heroes III Complete started shipping on December 20, 2000 - exactly one year after Heroes III pre-orders started shipping. My copy came in on December 24, and I will be putting up some information about it in the near future. Don't worry, it's all good. :-)

This site contains virtually everything that was on the old site, plus it adds some new sections. The Training section is for tips, info, and strategy that will eventually have information useful to all levels of players. The Games section will have information about all of the different Heroes of Might and Magic games, but that didn't quite get finished in time. :-/ Well, I tried.

After much hard work, the new site is finally up. As usual, there's still lots of things I want to add, so please stop in again when you have a chance.
