You remember that saying about blondes? That thye're really smart? Oh, no, wait ... not smart, the other thing.
Dumb teachers make dumb students. Starting with a level 33 Urghat mentoring, this created a level 31 griffin-brained heroine with spellpower 1 and knowledge 2.
Moral of the story: work hard and develop your heroes properly. Don't be lazy and look for shortcuts via mentors and trees ...

Thanks to cjlee.

SpellcastingBarbarian.jpg

Somewhere in the course of this game, cjlee wound up with a barbarian who has more spellpower than attack, without knowing why ...

"Why is it that when I play a barbarian, I can't assemble the dwarven king set, but when I play a spellcaster, the Robe of Sar Issues never shows up?"

DefensiveBarbarian.jpg

Haggash the Centaur Commander. The strategy in was the standard barbarian one: Build up attack like crazy, go for leadership and morale, use divine guidance and chieftains to keep spurring the troops to greater rage. The goal was definitely not to make a defensive barbarian!

Thanks to cjlee.
