The PC as a Gaming Platform

I work at Wal_mart as a sales associate in electronics. Most people who go to Wal-mart tend to buy console games and game systems. The PC game section is mostly ignored by our customers. One thing that I have trouble understanding is that people are willing to shell out over $600 for a PS3 and yet t...

Agreed, the levels are very linear. Also, Heroes V, didn't crash as bad as Dark Messiah. In any case, Dark Messiah was a disappointment. Must go to work now, type to you later.

Angelspit, I must warn you, Dark Messiah crashes alot of machines. I hope that you have better luck than the rest of us. Also, alot of angry people are burning up the UBIsoft's forums site with angry spitful words on how buggy the game is.....

Dark Woes and Praises

My machine is extremely high end, maybe that's the reason it keeps crashing on me. I have Diamond Viper with beta drivers and a Athlon 64 FX processor. I have added the fixes with Direct X and got a small updated patch for my videocard. The crashes appear less frequent.

Dark Woes and Praises

Just to let you guys know, I do like the game, but it could of been done so much better. The sword melee combat is the best I have ever seen in any game, including Oblivion. The game is far too linear though, I'd just rather go into a dungeon to kill monsters and not deal with the lame storyline.

Dark Woes and Praises

It feel like that I'm playing Dragon's Lair. Look, the gate is flashing bright green. Maybe if I lure the monster though the portcullis and drop it on its head, I'll kill it. P.S. I finally got past the load screen where my machine kept crashing on me.

Dark Messiah Crashes

As soon as I steal the crystal from the Necromancer and try to escape through the tunnels. The game loads the next chapter where I have to board a ship and sail to an Island to retrieve the skull. When this chapter begins to load my screen turns black and then I get an error message that says someth...

Might and Magic Tribute 0.4 Released

Fraz has some great ideas, maybe he can help you guys program it. I'll be talking to him on Thursday, perhaps if you could tell him where to get the source code from, he might even make it multiplayer.

On Steam and Might and Magic X

It is very important that UBIsoft should start working on the next Might & Magic RPG. It will cement the return of the Might and Magic series as a whole. Might and Magic began as an RPG; therefore, it should return as one. Just make sure it is a good RPG adventure with great graphics and I promi...

No, It's an actual game made by the fans of the Might and Magic series themselves. The website link already posted a number of times by Celestial Heaven.

10 years ago alot of the programs were either written in C; even further back they were written in a language called assembly. Assembly was a very difficult language to program in; however, it was the easiest for the computer to process, since it was such a low level langauge. Assembly was also one ...

Problems with Heroes and My new Computer

I just bought a new computer equipped with a Athlon 64 FX processor and my Nividia PNY 7600GT Video Card. When I use the map editor, it keeps hanging up as if my computer were about to crash. By just moving an object from the menu into the map area causes my computer to freeze up for about 5 to 10 s...

You must manually erase all files related to HOMM 5, after you have unistalled it. If you don't the mod will become apart of the new installation of the game, which will cause your machine to crash.

I believe that Paradox wrote a mini tutorial on the map editor at the Elrath site. At least it was there when I saw the beta leak.

Conquest!

I like, even though it's a complete ripoff from HOMM III. It gives you a sense that you are traveling to many different faraway lands that you must conquer.

The map editor is awesome, the next version of the map editor I believe that they are going to include a menu based scripting system. It will look like the scripting editor that is in the HOMM IV map editor. I won't know for sure until the enhanced map editor has been released with the first expansi...
