My copy won't ship until tomorrow, according to FutureShop. I had a bad experience with their shipment in the past, so I hope they won't mess up this time again.
Any lucky soul here?

Re: Who Got The Game?
I was able to pick up a 19 page pdf manual yesterday, now I can't find it. Does anyone know where to find it out there?Angelspit wrote:My copy won't ship until tomorrow, according to FutureShop. I had a bad experience with their shipment in the past, so I hope they won't mess up this time again.

Looking into getting the game, doing research right now.
It can be found on the official site. It gives a good idea of what the game is about.

I got my copy tonight but after lots of fiddling around with it I still can't get even the prologue to run. My system meets or exceeds the recommended specs for everything.
At this point I'm probably going to shelve it and see if the first patch helps.
I installed the retail US version, single player only.

Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

So far everything's fine, except for the sluggish performance during scripted events (such as when the Cave Troll attacks Minas Tirith -- oups, wrong names). The game also kept loading for over 10 minutes when I pumped up the visual details to see what I was missing -- I gave up and turned off the computer.BlackLotus wrote:Angelspit, I must warn you, Dark Messiah crashes alot of machines.
I'm a bit disappointed by the very linear levels so far -- the only thing missing are huge red arrows pointing the way. Kicking is also overpowered, to the point that you feel like you're in a kung-fu movie. When you force yourself not to use some tactics to make the game a little more difficult, there's definitely a balance problem.
But there's an interesting, sinister atmosphere. The characters look life-like... when they don't talk that is.

I got the Collector's Edition
Yeah!! My first post and I'm bragging about my 2nd original game. Got it 1 week ago and completed it on the next day in hard mode as warrior cum archer cum priest.
hah! I got my English Collector's edition a week ago (hehe other people from Poland must wait until january 27th to get the Polish version of game ;D) but today I'm finally at home so I could test it on my PC (PIV 2.5 ghz, GeForce 9600 Pro MX, 1GB Ram) aaaand... i got game crash (some DirectX error ;/)
I was playing on 1.2 patch from the beggining ;/ and when I try to start MP game when I create steam account I got an error ;/
eh... so much for original game... I go and check the "Hammers of Fate" expansion which I bought with DM. I hope that maybe this game won't be crashing! (my original H5CE never got any error!)
