Heroes 3 seems the best to me.

I subscribe to Computer Games Magazine (>CGW imo), Electronic Gaming Monthly, and Game Informer, i recently unsubscribed to Official Xbox Magazine cause i don't have a 360. I have these mags, cause you can't bring a computer in the bathroom (well a laptop i guess...).

Looks genuinely menacing and powerful, my second pick is probally the dragon from 2.

Ooc, where does heroes 1's purple dragon fit into these polls. His role in the game as the best unit in the game is most similar to the black dragon.

I loved it (and still do) but it is quite imperfect.

In homm 1 where all town names are random, one of the town names is Necropolis, i wonder if that had any influence on the future.

4 is cloest to general perception of a halfling.

Voted 5, i dislike 3's vamps,count blah is a little overdone, and i think that 5's edges out 2 and 5's vamp lord.

All of the minotaurs are pretty good, but minotaurs are tribal, simplistic people, i think some of the representations of them are too sophisicated for minotaurs.

In my mind, there is no way 1's peasent should lose this poll. It is the epitome of a peasent. 2's has a sickle, while can be used as a farming tool, is not usually the first weapon we come up with when thinking about peasents. 3's peasents look hideous, and 4 and 5 look like they should be on weigh...

I like 1 and 3's fire birds, but the 3d0 one is a masterpiece.

I usually don't prefer 2's creature representation, as compared to the other games in the series, but the homm 2 skeleton is pretty sharp.
