Blue's News reports that "King's Bounty: Legend" is the new title of 1C Company's turn-based strategy game formerly known as Battle Lord. The game has a new product page with visuals.

"Our aim was to create a game that would preserve the traditions of the classic PC title," adds Nikolay Baryshnikov, International Sales Director of 1C Company. "King’s Bounty was a founder of a new and very popular genre. There are still people that remember and love this game throughout the world."

Some fans noticed the similarities between Battle Lord and the Heroes games long before the name change. The fact that the King's Bounty name is being used without any reference to Ubisoft, owner of the rights to the Heroes franchise, is a bit surprising, if not suspicious.
