Yes,it's a strange phenomenonI made a little map where you can see all the possibilities. Just take the same unit and move any of the difficult terrains with or without cursed ground. The use of a native creature doesn't help to cancel the movement penalty of Orrin since he doesn't have pathfinding. The cursed ground is a cursed thing!

So in short this time, Darkstone fight was mainly based this time on destroying his turrets, air shield from genies helps a lot too, or air shield basic also interesting in the meantime. The rest the classic, protection from air/water. Only 15 mana left so I had to beat the Ancients with 8 mana max or I could not summon boat same day.
So a video for a method proof of random happenings. If genies cast slayer or prayer maybe mana could be reduced to 5 instead of 8. Anyway i had 0 mana on water lol.

I just attacked the Rust dragons to see Lim but not lucky with her , she can't learn town portal before level 8 or else I will be forced to take estates to have both advanced magic and advanced earth. Well could have been worse, some coins are always handy. Or I lose some days to walk from Darkstone to Troll Empire ? ...A choice

Lim finally went to Troll Empire directly, beat the ogres, took the cloak and back on Darkstone to take boat for the nagas on 2-1-5. Took ballistic skill

Maybe they cast this spell only vs another hero, this makes sense as not much creatures cast spells:).

Yes the second method was to use hypnotize but I had to com back to earlier save because I choose knowledge vs spell power priority. I can also win a level and gain spell power. The plan was to reduce to 1 2 stacks, with ice bolt helping but there is always that random damage, we can never be sure we don't kill the satck, but it can work. Then we put the titans and hypnotized faeries on the other side of the battlefield so the titans can shoot and still be protected from attacks. That works well on 2-2-1 because we have 44 or 45 titans (portal of summoning), the same with golems because we have 196, but on 2-1-6 30 titans is too few to resist the time we can hypnotize and still have a sufficient shot capacity (no ammocart).
I must develop Lim hero too, so the plan is not easy to do. Maybe I can use the tavern but I hope to find another solution. I cannot send a hero collect some nomads AND learn spell hypnotize. I can kill the golems but then not capture Rampart town the same day.
From 2-1-3 I tried another approach. Rick beat the efreets (now he has 20 spell power from levelling) and take 50 archdevils, while Gabriel visits anti-magic shrine and Lim will level with the ogres and then next day will go forr the nomads (but she has only advanced pathfinding so must take only tower troops). Gabriel then heads for hypnotize spell. I will not be able to visit brown tent and maybe Marcia will kill Lim and I'll have to rehire her again in tavern later. Still I lose something.
Using archdevils is a good method.The fight vs the faeries is better done with titans when there are more because archery deals more damage here and there is no loss of rounds to hide and attack. So more spell points are needed here but I don't know how much more to resurrect in the case of titans since they will suffer heavier losses too. Just a guess...
