Hero without an army (H3)
Hero without an army (H3)
Ok I just played Brave New World and an enemy orange hero appered on the adjecent shores of my green Stronghold town, since the enemy was Theodorus with no armies at all I attacked him, when the battle started I won at once gaining 500 exp
So wahts up, is this a bug, glitch? I have H3 Complete + all patches. I wonder what caused this and I wonder why not the patches have fixed this, its not a big deal anyway since I got alot of artifacts from Theo without a single battle at all

I believe you can program a hero to have no creatures at the beginning of a game. Aside from scripting in WoG, that's the only way to get an army-less hero. And they automatically lose when entering battle.

If you as a player, want to create such hero in game simply have two heroes with a single creature (only 1 stack and only 1 unit in that stack) army. Meet them, click on split stack button on either hero and target to the other hero (you do not need to move the slider, it does not move anyay). When you click OK, the creature moves and you have a hero with no armies.
Edit. Don't ask me why this bug exists.

There's some sort of bug involving AI-only battles (SOD) where an
attacker in a siege will lose all troops but still win (perhaps because of
summoned elementals), will get to sit in the castle door but the color is
still that of the enemy. Oddly while he is in the town he can't be attacked
and taken out of the doorway, I guess because it is considered a "friendly"
town...

Huh... this one I never knew about. Interesting. Why is this considered cheating in multiplayer?Pitsu wrote:If you as a player, want to create such hero in game simply have two heroes with a single creature (only 1 stack and only 1 unit in that stack) army. I didnt know about this one.I though you could do this just by wining with summons and loosing all other creatures.Pitsu wrote:If you as a player, want to create such hero in game simply have two heroes with a single creature (only 1 stack and only 1 unit in that stack) army. here is more AI bugs, I know also one, where after you had conquered the town, which was affected by that, it has become neutral with neutral or AI hero in. I also remember how one town morphing into Garden of Relevation directly behind my eyes..difool wrote:There's some sort of bug involving AI-only battles (SOD) where an

Yes, and if you had been the side who had win on elementals - as castle defender, you are declared dead too. - But you end the fight with town and hero in... - with his "tavern" army. No, if you win by summons and lose everything else, you are declared dead on the end of combat.

Yes if >I< "win", but I've seen the bug with an enemy hero stationed inside
an opponent's castle, with no army left, on several occasions. I'll try to
recreate the bug, just to satisfy my curiousity...
Well, I was unable to reproduce it. I gave an Overlord hero expert Fire Magic,
1-6 Minotaurs, and the Summon Fire Elemental spell, and no town (so he
attacks at bad odds), vs. a Castle town with varying numbers of Marksmen
and Halberdiers. The problem is the Overlord never cast the summon
elementals for some strange reason...

No worry, I believe you, as I know that bug pretty well
On the other hand we cannot see what really happens in that combats and my personal opinion is that this problem is somehow connected with formulas how are these quick combat calculated. Some unit combinations are more complicated then others. Not neccessary fault of summoning though...
