People on the Heroic Corner forums went as far as claiming that the "Save Heroes" movement is Ubisoft and Nival's PR action.
It's true, isn't it, Angelspit? How many $$$ have you received from these corporate *******?
Wouldnt surprise me if it was true, money, greed and persuasion are powerful allies in the marketing process. People get convinced pretty easly that this is the best thing to do, when people wawing with money in front of their faces as a lure.

What do we want? Heroes V. When do we want it? Later!
It may very well be "clever" marketing (assuming everything was done intentionally), and it may very well work out in a good way for them, because it has been made so public, but that depends on what ultimately happens. The potential that it could all blow up in their faces if they don't make the right decisions is there.Veldrynus wrote: Most people around here don't realize the fact, that all this 'Saveheroes' crap, is doing Ubisoft a big favor by placing the game in center of public attention . It is clever marketing:

Far too many people speak their minds without first verifying the quality of their source material.

Actually, now that you mention it, I saw Angelspit cruising around in a brand new shiny Bentley (dark green, to match his skin) the other day. I never really though much of it until now. Hmmm....Bandobras Took wrote: [humor] Yes, we all know that Angelspit's in this whole CH thing for the money . . . [/humor]

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. They can hardly screw it now.
I bet, in a few days, they will make some kind of an official announcement, with the message that the release was delayed. They will make it look like the fan protest had influenced them, so that everybody will be absolutely happy. Then fans will be overjoyed that their voices were heard, and praise the absolutely uber-cool Ubisoft, for being so nice and fullfiling the wishes of the devoted players. The whole 'drama' will have a positive outcome, esp. for Ubisoft who now has the best cards in hand ( good publicity too).

Yes this is how it very well could turn out. And I hope it does. If Ubisoft is smart they will take the opportunity that the fan sites have given them to gracefully delay the game and come out looking like the good guys. A lot of companies wouldn't do that, though - they would see bowing to the "angry masses" as setting a dangerous precedent.Veldrynus wrote:Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Exactly. And if they don't and publish the game anyway, what have we lost? Nothing. And what do you call an action that gives you the chance to reap rewards if it works and suffer nothing if it fails? That's what we call a smart move.theLuckyDragon wrote:If they do use this opportunity and they actually use that extra month or whatever to truly polish the game, then everybody wins.

Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.
