Some unexpected events prevented me from updating the site earlier. But here I am again, at least for a few hours.
  • The Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East Trailer is displayed at Kotaku (and various other locations) and includes some reader comments (I always enjoy reading what people think of the Heroes series outside the core community). The trailer is by far the best Heroes trailer to date, and it is made with in-game footage only. It reminds me of the goose bumps I got watching the opening sequence of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and asking myself if Ubisoft could someday do something similar for a Heroes game.
  • According to some sources, Dark Messiah Elements will be delayed until the holiday season. TeamXbox has a short preview from GC 2007 with very little new information. One can wonder if the multiplayer mode will work well this time again: "Ubisoft is particularly tight-lipped about Dark Messiah of Might & Magic: Elements’s multiplayer mode, but they have confirmed that twelve players will be involved and can choose to play as one of four character classes. Twelve total players is four down from the PC version, but Annecy claims that this is a strategic move to make the experience more cerebral and less like Battlefront with swords."
  • The third developer diary on the official forum deals with the Blood Rage (a fancy term to describe the state of mind of a baby when you attempt to give him or her a bath).
My inbox is a mess and I have a lot of work pending, including maps and articles. At this point I can only ask the kind folks who submitted stuff to be patient. I will get to it eventually!
