If you are surprised by the love-hate relationship fans have with Ubival's Heroes of Might and Magic V, you probably were not around in 2002 when 3DO published its last Heroes game. For some of us, Heroes IV was a fun experiment, a walk on the wild side. But for others, the game was just a plain mess. As a Heroes IV virgin, our map reviewer Qurqurish Dragon is currently trying the game for the first time and posting his impressions at the Round Table. Multiple heroes, the original caravans, daily creature growth, hero prisons, castle towers, potions of immortality, sea creatures, simultaneous retaliation... I can't help but miss some of those features, balance or not.
