Straight from the maptesting section of this site is a new Heroes III: Shadow of Death map by Domingo. Rune is an extra-large map for a single player interested in an epic conquest. From the readme: "The battle for the land of Rune spans across two separate planes. Each civilization will have to capitalize on it's strengths to conquer the land in their name. Towns will be easy to defend, but hard to conquer."

Taking the place of Rune in the testing section is Eternal Doom, a Winds of War map by Addicted. The gamer grandmother tells us she has been a Might and Magic fan since day 1. She hopes Eternal Doom, a map she started back in 2003 but completed only recently, will keep players busy until the release of Heroes V. Download the map, check out the detailed readme and help her put on the final touches. Scarlett's campaign, Season of War, is still being worked on and will hopefully be released soon.
