A column on the excellent Gamasutra from last December reveals the identity of a member of the development team behind Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Randy Smith, better known for his work on Thief at Looking Glass Studios, has been contracted for the Arkane Studios first-person action game. "[CEO Raphael Colantonio] was in town in Austin, and was like, 'Hey I'm in town, we should hang out,' so we did. He was actually kind of a fan of what I had done, and wanted some design input on this new game he was doing. And he's like, 'Hey, do you want to work on it?' I said no, and then he asked if I wanted to be flown out - to France - to contract it. So of course I said yes."

The article provides a detailed bio of the game director and includes a few tips for anyone who wants to work in the game industry. Read it all here.
