2005 marks the tenth anniversary of the release of Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest by New World Computing. While I am aware that 1991's King's Bounty can be considered the starting point of the series, the critical and commercial success of the first HoMM are what allowed Jon Van Caneghem to create a brand new franchise that is still very popular today. Let's take a moment to salute the creativity, the hard work and the dedication to quality of the New World Computing artists, designers and programmers.

A thread has been opened at the Round Table for the celebration. Tell us which Heroes game got you addicted to the series? What are your best memories as a player, for all games combined? Who was your favorite New World Computing employee? If we make enough noise, perhaps a few special guests might join the party, who knows?
