Some Guy is Stalking Me
- by Angelspit
So I guess an update is in order. Our beta test contest ended on Friday and we received over 200 entries. Most (75%) of the seats will be awarded at random (but I will read everything you guys wrote), the rest will be awarded based on recommendations I received from other people of good standing. I will be sending the list of winners to Ubisoft during the week-end. Since the applications need to be approved by Ubisoft first, I cannot email the chosen ones obviously. The only thing you can do is wait. As Fabrice said: "We are making a push for the beta test every two weeks. So the next one is due middle-end of next week. Mails will be sent at this period. We will add a few hundred people." As long as you registered for the beta test last month, you have chances of being chosen.
Missing the beta is not the end of the world. I know from past experience that testing computer games can pretty much ruin any enjoyment you might get from the game when it gets released. Bugs, poor performance, missing features, unfinished AI (oh, and did I mention bugs?) are some of the things that could make your life miserable. If you are a competitive player though, you better hope that you can participate. By the time I write this, other tournament players are probably taking notes about the best creatures, skills and battle tactics. And will kick your ass by the time the game is released. But such is the way of game tournaments.
