Despite the shipping date being delayed until August, DGAGames seem to have dealt themselves a winning hand with their HOMMIV-based card game. According to Jonathan Bjork, Director of Games Development at DGA, their previews were a roaring success and two of those who played the demo kits have posted pre-release reviews at boardgamegeek.com (you'll have to register there first to read the reviews, though).

Perhaps more exciting though, Jonathan Bjork suggests the possibility that the HOMMIV card game may reach mass-market outlets:

"Legends, who is the exclusive distributor for CCGs at Wal Mart have asked DGA to repackage HOMM IV CCG & Tile Game boosters in blister packs, which could be an early indication of the mass market planning to embrace the Heroes Fan once again"

I doubt you'll being seeing this in ASDA in the UK but you can always order it direct from DGAGames.
