best bands ever in all of the history of music that ever existed - Red Hot Chili Peppers and of course the Beatles. single artists - i dont love him, but i respect The King, also i respect Eminem although i dislike most of his music (nice lyrics most of the time). then theres my other favorite band, Pink Floyd. all of those together make up an average of Rock/Alternative so that was my vote.

i would like to state for the record that i hate rap (especially "fitty" - cant sing for his life) but just like some songs by eminem.

Industrial, Dark Ambient, very few black & death metal bands, Drone, Neoclassical, sometimes classical too if I'm in the right mood. That's about it.

I have to go with the 'the song is important not the type of song' option. Everything from Classical to Death Metal has things I can listen to. The one that has the most I like is classic late 70's early 80's rock. Won't even try to list all the groups, artists, and such I like that would take a really long time. I only like a few in country, but that may be because it was the only thing played in my parents house while I was growing up. Still I do like some country. I even like some of she-who-is-not-to-be-named songs. Sometimes she is too much of a wannabe Madonna (and there can be only one), but that is besides the point. Of course I also like M. Jackson and Spicegirls so ..most think that means my tastes are suspect at best.

Look here.It maybe looks like system of a down, but it sure is not.And I think I have a few on my hard drive that always somehow escape deletion,so I can send them to you(if you are a masochist). But better go with the link since it is not really a menele, therefore is less annoying. But it can give you some idea at least.
