Restrain Necromancy?
Restrain Necromancy?
Is it possible to restrain necromancy to only create 40 skeletons max per fight?
Re: Restrain Necromancy?
No, not that I can see how - you can play with the Necromancy percentage values per level and the town building though but you cannot put a specific absolute value limit as you wish. If you're interested in playing with the values yourself I might post the concrete path and the name of the file that contains the data you need to tweakKashrlyyk wrote:Is it possible to restrain necromancy to only create 40 skeletons max per fight?

DO post the path, please!

It's easy
In your data folder locate and open the latest patch .pak file, p2-data.pak, and enter it. You want to edit this file (preferably by extracting it first):
GameMechanics\RPGStats\DefaultStats.xdb
Inside you need to locate this code:
I believe the values and the names of the variables are self-explanatory so I won't go into unnecessary detail here
Have fun!

<Necromancy_NecromancyAmplifierBonus>10</Necromancy_NecromancyAmplifierBonus>

yeah, too easy.
*sigh*
yet another set of variables stored in the defaultStats.xdb file.
Now you know why i made the thread about mod merging and that file.
wellp, it all goes in the guide. whenever i get around to compiling it.
probably start this weekend.
anybody want to help?
basically, we just need folks to handle "sections".
if someone could work with the text files, and we break the data files up into say, game mechanics, graphics/effects, and mapobjects, that would make things go a bit faster.
plus, I was hoping to farm out the graphics part of the data pak to somebody who already had played with the graphics (serveral over at Elrath appear to have done so).
anywho, if anybody who has been modding a bit wants to help collate, just shoot me a PM.
cheers
