50+10*SP?Thats weak.Actually, all of the damage dealing spells are weak.I hope that this formulas are modable, because Id really like to see a mod that makes spells deadlier. My proposal would be:
No magic skill - spell does:base damage+number*SP
Basic magic skill - spell does:base damage+number*(SP^2)
Advanced magic skill - spell does:base damage+number*(SP^3)
Expert magic skill - spell does:base damage+number*(SP^4)
Of course, base damage and number could also vary for various spell masteries. It would also be nice if the number multiplied by SP was a random number, and not a fixed one.
Patch 1.3 changelog, patch due September 13th.

That would make it too powerfull, and it would still have a point where you'd have enough creatures to make dmg spells useless, it would just be higher. Stack size dependancy is still the best way IMO.DaemianLucifer wrote: No magic skill - spell does:base damage+number*SP

It wouldnt make it too powerfull. It just depends on how you pick the numbers. And if you make buffs/curses more SP dependant, that point where DD spells become useless would be quite high, and almost never reached.ThunderTitan wrote: That would make it too powerfull, and it would still have a point where you'd have enough creatures to make dmg spells useless, it would just be higher. They may have fixed more than they listed. Software companies usually don't list every single bug that is fixed, only the more prominent ones.LordErtz wrote:does anyone else think there seems to be a huge lack of bug fixes? They maybe fixed 10-15 things that weren't of high importants. Sure they got a few that were important, but we have about 10 pages of bugs we've found and none of them are being looked at.
Verifying downloaded file's CRC: 19098caa vs expected bfeb9e7b.
The downloaded file CRC does not match the CRC specified in the version file.
The downloaded file had an error.
Anybody getting this error? If so how the heck do I fix this? Is it because I have retail not download?

I just posted this in another thread - apparently there is a problem with the auto update program when there are mods installed. Manually installing the patch seems to work, though.
