As shown, sometimes these buggy spawn locations for that week of creature can be quite cool and funny B-) :D

They arent buggy,they just dont have any limitation but appear in any free space,thats all.In HIII you didnt notice this because no map had any free space where you couldnt go.But considering that enviroment is 3D now,I imagine filling the map with trees would slow the game down vey noticably.

The map makers should get an option to disable certain squares from being accessed. That way, the empty square would remain empty, but the computer wouldn't think of putting a random monster on it.
The pen is deadlier than the sword;
if the pen is very sharp and the sword very short.

There is such a possibility. Comments in the script for Sylvan 5 indicate that the tiles surroinding the spectral dragons are made impassable for the AI player so it won't accidentally kill the dragons itself.
