The worst part is actually, that every single yellow/red card was deserved.
4 red cards in a World Cup match... I think that's a new record

I like watching soccer but many of my countrymen do not. Fighting like that might appeal to hockey fans, but that's not what Americans really want to see, we like scoring. The one thing that drives us nuts is the way so many of the players take a dive and then go though an Academy award level act begging for a penalty, to us that’s girlish (no sexist remark intended). Man, they out to play badminton then they may not take contact.ThunderTitan wrote:But it did have you on the edge of your seat.Kalah wrote:First half was great. Second was a fist fight.
And maybe those americans could enjoy it too.
that's the better way - I was just predicting the worst case:devious:Kalah wrote:But Cunning Death was wrong - the supporters in the town seem to be the best of friends, and police say no arrests (not a single one) has been made.
England needs to get their act together then- Eriksson is lucky that he has Beckham that makes those goals on free kicks even if England isn't playing too good otherwise. Portugal has a good bench, so they can find replacements. It's bad for them, but neither player is irreplaceable. It would probably be worse if Ronaldo has a serious injury (which I don't think he has).Kalah wrote:Yes, and now Portugal will lose their next match (you can cet on it) because of suspensions.
For Brazil, right? Coz that's were he plays.Gaidal Cain wrote:It would probably be worse if Ronaldo has a serious injury (which I don't think he has).
Meh. He practically made the one against Paraguay as well. It was just credited as an own goal.Paulus1 wrote:well, it was Beckhams first goal for England for 1½ years, so he's not really the one to rely on.
Didn't they lose that one WC against France (98?) because Ronaldo couldn't play?Paulus1 wrote:I don't like brazil much, and that just might make their attack a whole lot better.
The entire team seem that way. Maybe their just taking it slow. They didn't seem to be trying when i watched.Paulus1 wrote:He's quite slow and just doesn't have IT anymore.
