Seems to me, it wouldn't have took too much effort to implement the following in this first patch:

1. Why didn't they implement more than 1 hero to enter the castle at the same time and implement troops to be able to leave the castle to roam without a hero? I for one want this feature back.. I hate having to march all the way back to the castle to get troops when it is much more user friendly to let troops leave the castle and come to me.. Bring it back!
(sigh)
Why would they "implement" this "feature"?

You might as well ask why they didn't include more Panzers or Flying Fortress bombers in this patch. What you're asking for is a major game mechanic to Heroes-IV... something they clearly did not want in Heroes-V. It can't be missing or a "feature" if it's something they don't want from a differant game.

I can't believe you were honestly sitting in your house expecting them to make MAJOR gameplay changes with a PATCH. A patch is supposed to FIX things that are wrong, or perhaps add a little something extra, not make a complete change in game mechanics.

I can garauntee you, if you're waiting for a patch or expansion pack to change the entire way the game is played (like monsters wondering around without heroes), you're going to be waiting for eternity.

Patches do minor fixes... not major gameplay changes to mirror a differant game.

This is a fan made mode, and its not official. Not to mention that the patch doesnt support it,so it has to be redone.

I checked this out, and the model definitely looks the same. However, the movement animation of them walking seems to be faster.

The increased movement animation may have been the "new model".

Can someone confirm this?

Map Falcon's Last Flight, Jezebel the hero is succubus in that intro movie, while in game she's like normal inferno hero?

Also, now difficulties are Easy, Hard and Heroic, no Normal?

And, can you really rotate the camera when hero is moving on adventure map?

Normal difficulty is still there, Easy is added. Will check others...

i would call that a different game.... you cant honestly expect them to do that. if you relly cant play the game withought that, i suggest going back to H4, and waiting for H6 to be announced with the very slim chance of that feature coming back.... Also, if you really cant stand going back to your castle every week for new creatures, do one of the following:

1: only come back every few weeks, getting more reinforcements each time ans also getting less casualties overall (the ones who would be out dying are safe in the castle).

or the much more popular 2: get a second hero just to go back and forth between your and the castle each week supplying you with creatures.

hope ive been helpful.

"Fixed Demon Character"

Jezebel used to look like a Succubi... Jezebel now looks like a Demon Lord hero... this was the "Fixed Demon Character".

Sorry Gus, but this patch is mostly fluff, not substance... I call it like I see it.

There's a difference in thinking the patch is much too lightweight, and saying they made up things to fill the changelist.

The content is definitely disappointing, but just drop the "they're making things up" line, and in any case, don't repeat it every other post =/

Yes, that's what happens. Difficulty setting is encoded like 0,1,2,3:Easy,Normal,Hard,Heroic. Before the patch it was 0,1,2:Normal,Hard,Heroic. So 0 was Normal now it's Easy. You got the point now ;)

Btw, there are things that have not changed: Erasial's Horned Overseer's blasted ally Succubi :disagree:

"Fixed prerequisites for Urgash's Call, it was impossible to take it." does anyone know about this? What are the new prerequisites?

Fan-made mods still works fine. I didn't have to change anything at all, I just patched it.

it works fine now because this was a small patch. when you get to the big ones, they wont work with the mods because it would conflict with how they know the game should be like...

Peace!!! I wasn't seriously 'expecting' roaming troops, 2 heroes to be allowed in the castle at the same time to be in the patch (although it could be in an expansion).. I was merely making a comment as I was going thru the list.. just thought I'd throw that one in with hopes later down the road it might get implemented in an expansion and I personally feel that one little feature is far from changing the entire game play and I didn't say monsters wondering around, I said the 'heroes troops' being able to roam without the hero.. :D and if it never gets implemented, it isn't no big deal, okay! :D There are far more other priorities more important to me to see fixed and implemented..

well, you must understand that these are very different basic game designs... i'm not even taking sides as to which one is the best, but the fact remains they ARE very different, and the game plays much different with one or the other.
So, it is unlikely they implement this. If they had wanted to, they would have designed the game like this from scratch. After all, the concept was already in H4, so it's not like they could not help themselves if they had wanted to.

"I didn't say monsters wondering around, I said the heroes troops being able to roam without the hero.. "

they are both exactly the same thing.... and of course it would change the game dramatically, i dont understand how you sould say that "I personally feel that one little feature is far from changing the entire game play".... you need to think a bit abou this...
