The Phoenix

Unread postby Paffka » 06 Jun 2006, 09:28

I think this is one of the greatests creatures in the game, because the phoenix can have 2000 hp and 500 dmg.Isn't it great? It is sad that you can have only one phoenix in battle and that he can't be recruitet from the town or from the map(I think),but he is frong enough to beat every creature.I'm right???

Well, it's true it's probably the strongest creature in the game, thus why you can only get one and can't recruit them normally.

An army of 10+ phoenixes would be pretty much unstoppable.

Also, the phoenix's strength is directly dependant on your hero's abilities. So the stronger the hero that summons it, the stronger the phoenix will be.

My record so far was summoning a phoenix with 108 attack and 96 defense 8|

Needless to say, it "pwned" every thing the computer threw at me :P

I was nearing end-game too, thus my hero had pretty high stats himself (I guess, I haven't checked his stats).

However, I'm somewhat dissapointed in the phoenix graphics. It looks more like a flying fire elemental (H5 fire elemental) than an actual "flaming bird".

It's still pretty much kickass tho.

Well, the colours used on it are quite good, but it's true that you cannot really make out its figure, so it doesn't look that much like a bird of any kind . . .

Only the summoned creature has those stats, and they depend on your spellpower.Neutral phoenixes are weaker, but they still are very strong, especially because of the fire shield and 100% rebirth(a bit too strong).

The Phoenix are not only ugly because they are looking like fire elementals(flying),the attack of the phoenix is to ugly too. They bite and this is stuppid for a flaming bird. But they are still very strong.

But of course.I fought some of them in the dreaded second campaigns third map.And even though I had a masive army,I still had lots of losses(damn fire shield!)

And their attack is ugly. Each time I saw them attacking I hoped to see the flame, but instead it was a disapointing bite :disagree:

The phoenic rebirth ability makes a man loose a couple of dozen brain cells.

Not in campaigns, because stacks are fully scripted in there, but on non campaign maps, probably.Oh,and I think theres a mentioning that youll use phoenixes in later campaigns.

In the last map of the druid campaign you can get non-summoned phoenixes through a quest.

As for the summoned one, it's unbelievably powerful. As I said in another thread I finished the last map of the necro campaign with nothing more than my starting creatures, a group of wights which join you and that spell :).

Actually you cant.Their rebirth will kick in after they die,yet hunters fire both arrows before the creature dies.

Well thats nice.Although its stupid that hunters waste their arrow when they can kill a stack with just one,yet they dont waste it on phoenixes.
