Here is the email they sent out, FYI

We have received new information regarding your pre-order of Heroes of Might and Magic V. There is a problem with the tracking number that was provided, but all pre-orders were shipped from our warehouse on May 24. Depending on the chosen shipping method, most orders should be delivered today through May 26 for overnight or Fed Ex 2-day orders. Orders shipped by Fed Ex ground should be arriving from May 30 through June 1. An explanation of the problems associated with your order is included below:

Heroes of Might and Magic V was expected to ship from our warehouse on May 23. In order to prepare for this, our warehouse began preparing boxes and registering shipments with Fed Ex, so that orders could be filled and shipped as quickly as possible once the stock of the games arrived. Shipping labels were printed, and tracking numbers were provided and were updated in our system.

Unfortunately, the games' manufacturing process was delayed, and as a result, our warehouse did not receive their stock of the games in time for orders to ship on the 23rd. This affected all shipments to retail stores, as well as all pre-orders. The games arrived at our warehouse on May 24, and all pre orders were packed and shipped out that day. Tracking numbers were provided for the shipping labels meant to go out on the 23rd, but since the games were delayed; those tracking numbers had expired before the packages left our warehouse. These tracking numbers could not be updated without canceling and reprocessing each order, a process which would have delayed the orders even further.

We apologize for the inconvenience due to the tracking numbers. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Thank you, and have a great day!

Thanks for posting the message from UbiSoft, wcleme. I did not receive one.

Have I mentioned how much I hate these people?

Not quite as often as Daemian has complained about H5's lack of H4 features, but you're getting there.

I sort of believe what's in the Email is at least somewhat true. The main reason that I believe that is why in the world would someone send you an Email that would otherwise be soooooo easy to disprove?

I.E. sending out an Email that is obviously a lie is about 10x worse than just admitting "we goofed" and go from there.

I'll see what happens the next couple of business days but if I don't get it Monday then I may have to call my credit card company.

I'm betting Ubi shipped out their ENTIRE stock to retailers instead of filling pre-orders from customers first.

Now they have to delay to make-up the missing stock and fill the back-orders.

That sounds a lot more logical then the pony show they are e-mailing.

It's a lot easier for a company like Ubi to blow-off filling an order from Joe Schmoe in Springfield then Best Buy of NYC or EB Games of LA. I'm thinking they shipped out their whole stock to retailers... but then, I'm always the pessimist.

Hope I'm wrong for your guys sake.

Well, I had preordered from Bestbuy online for the LE. The situation isn't any better there either.. first I was told, the release date was the 25th, than they sent an email saying there is a delay and the release date is the 26th, today is the 26th, I checked my order, it stated 'order in process', now I checked my order status and its now its saying, 'backordered'!!! Duh! :flame:

As I mentioned on CH, I am one Unhappy camper and very upset. Wonder what is going on!!!! Gee, I hope I get my copy or I am in big trouble as I updated my computer with the DVD-Rom so I could play the DVD version and now I may not get the DVD version... I am getting to feel like I may not get any version if they hold me off too long on this stupid asinine so-called backorder crap.. Didn't UBI shipped enough of the U.S. LE versions to the U.S or what??? rats!!!!! I smell rats I say!!!!

I got mine too! I guess Harden was right :) They simply shipped the games but could not find the time to update the tracking numbers. The games shipped on May 24 tough, not May 23. Anyways, I've gotta go now :)

No, Harden is a big liar. He said he would send me an email explaining the bad tracking number. He did not. He said my game would arrive today. It did not.

I guess I'll just have to say it one more time. I really hate these people.

I emailed Bestbuy online and just heard back from them, to put it short, they said they had to reorder and they don't know how long the delay will be so I just now canceled my online order from bestbuy. I called Gamestop here in my local city and they are the only ones who miraculously have 3 copies of the LE version. They are holding one for me.. my son is coming over this evening to take me to get it.. downfall of Gamestop is I dont like their policy on what they do with exchanged games but I don't know what it is on buying new games, guess I'll find out.. EB, compusa, bestbuy, no one else in my big city has the game in yet, let alone the LE version. What a nightmare for everyone.. Well I'm on my way to hopefully buy my game finally.. I just hope I have no more problems..

Fedex delivered mine today at noon. I was a little dissapointed with the lack of a printed map or stats card. Otherwise, I'm pleased so far. I just finished the first map in the first campaign.

I pre-ordered from EBGames. But since I went in the actual shop to pre-order, I need to get it from them so no mail-in for me.
They told me they'd get it on the 23rd. And so I went on the 23rd. They said they didn't recieve it and it should be there by the 24th. I went there the 24th; they said they got information that makes it so they'll get it the 26th.
...
I went there the 26th (today) and all they had were french-only versions (wth!?) and they'd get the english ones sometime next week :S

I WANT MY LEGAL COPY OF HEROES 5!!!!1!!11 [/caps]

I received my LE copy today in the mail from EB Games... not bad at all.

P.S.
I have NINE stand-alone scenarios, not six like the regular version (that alone is worth the extra $10 bucks to me). Though I'm very peaved that even in the LE version I don't get a creature card!?!?! What's up with that?

I forgot to mention: I live in Canada so US dates don't apply (I learned that the hard way >.> )
Plus, we won't even get the Limited/Deluxe/whatever edition over here, at ALL (at least until a few months from now...)

After waiting patiently for the FedEx driver who did not come, I called UbiSoft and was told I should wait till like 8pm since sometimes FedEx comes that late you know. I suppose it was just a coincidence that 8pm is the time the UbiSoft stops taking calls. Sure it is. And when they close, they close for the weekend and Memorial Day so they could not be contacted until next Tuesday.

After they assured me my game had been shipped, I asked why FedEx seemed to have no knowledge of it. I got another version of the tracking number fiasco story. And oh maybe it will come on Saturday. Yeah, that's the ticket. FedEx sometimes takes three days to make a two day shipment. That's why they're so successful. I asked if the shipping order had specified Saturday delivery. They had no idea.

So I put a little more of George Bush's $3 gas in the tank and headed to Best Buy 30 miles away. Deal done.

Before I close, let me just say once again how much I hate these people. No, let me say it twice. I HATE THESE PEOPLE.
