Zalmoxis likes to have a clean-cut goody two-shoes hero, and there's none in the game. I prefer a smart one. None of us gets what he wanted.

The ending was really anti-climactic. The end battle was really just completely pointless. Basically it went like this (spoilers obviously):

Demon Sovereign: Ha, you’ve all failed! I’m Isabel’s baby’s daddy. You can take her back now. She’s going to bring about the demon Apocalypse.

Raeleg: No, we must kung fu fight now.

Demon Sovereign: You can’t beat my leet skills.

Raeleg: We whooped your butt 4 times, now Isabel’s saved.

Demon Sovereign: What are you, slow? I just said that she’s going to give birth to the demon messiah. You’re all doomed no matter where you take her. *ninjas out*

Findan: We have to leave Isabel here in the demon world because… uh… the harmony?

Raeleg: No, I love her even though my affection towards her was only vaguely hinted at with two lines of dialogue about how I watch her grow up.

Zehir: Sar-Elam was more powerful than the Demon Sovereign which means that we can save Isabel. Wait, that made no sense but who cares, let’s party!

Godric?
Nah. Godric is a bit lame for my taste. And he's not introduced like a main hero. Isabel is.

You have to know how to introduce a character, and how you build it, to make the reader/player slowly fall in love with it, which is the key to make him/her in love & hooked with the whole story sometimes. You can always give them weak sides, they might do mistakes and so on, but they always manage to go over it.

The way the story was build, is like Tolkien starting his book like we know it, but somewhere in the middle of The Two Towers, we have the hobbits joining Saruman, the Elves bowing to Sauron, only Gandalf being left fighting with some armies agains them, and then, as a last "twist" of the situation, to bring more "depth" to the story, to find out Sauron was not such a bad a** uber Evil, but actually had a weak side. That would have happened in Return of the King, where we would discover he was doing all that because of his love for Arwen. :baby:

Now what a great book (& movie) that would have been. I'm sure JJ would have liked it more for example, but would LOTR still have had the same success? - I strongly doubt it.
