Poor Isabel... [spoilers]

Unread postby Sikon » 20 May 2006, 10:29

I haven't finished the campaign yet, but... I renamed outro.ogg to intro.ogg and watched it as the intro... and...

WHAT THE HECK HAVE THEY DONE TO ISABEL? HOW COULD THEY?! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

I'm starting a campaign. Please, Ubisoft, bring Isabel back to the "light side" for the expansion.

And, really, what happened?

So the Dark Messiah is probably Isabels kid, right?

Well, if that's the story... ;| They can't just change it. They did tell us this universe was going to be darker.
Now, why did I read this? I'm don't usually like spoilers.

As part of their plan of destroying the brand, they want to prove us there is no real hero in this game. They all eventually end up dead or some kind of villain.

Haven are fanatics, Sylvan avengers etc. *Those* who played the game for the noble, heroic part of it, can move along, nothing to see in this game for them.

So Sikon, HP, me :p and anybody else who play this game to find some real noble heroes or heroines take care: don't fall in love with Isabel (for example), as you're up for a great disappointment. This game is only for the "satisfaction" of all those who like nice things spoiled and dragged through the mud, in a world where nothing is really nice, or pure, or holy, or really good. This is what *they* call "depthness".

This might be ok for any other games I suppose, for those who like this trend, but they seem to have forgotten this game is called "Heroes..." not "Twisted Villains of Might and Magic". If you like to play campaigns to see heroes rising, you're up for a disappointment, as you'll more see them falling.

Nah, Isabel still rocks, even if twisted... At least she didn't turn into a hideous monstrosity.
Maybe she is the Dark Messiah?

Godric was in that movie as well, and appeared fine.

Or play the game for just the enjoyment / turn based strategy / fun different sideded combat, which is what I have played all the Heroes games for.

The campaign has always been of secondary importance to me.

I always envisioned Haven as zealous narrowminded fundamentalists, always picking on those poor necromancers :disagree:

Anyway, whatever Ubi cooks together for a story has very little to do with the MM universe for me. It's like if Fiat were to call their small cars Ferraris just because they owned the rights to the name. Fiats may be ok cars, but they're not Ferraris.

Kerrigan pwns Arthas any day of the week.

So Isabel and Nicolai get together in undead bliss?! How quaint...

Isabel isn't an undead, she is still human, though demon-possessed.

Guess that's what she gets for being a little *****.

At least I was wrong about the story being taken from H3. It's taken from Starcraft...

Well, Markhal seems to have taken more than one page out of his old master's book:
Assemble über-necro combo artifact: Check.
Hatch plot to ressurect old king: Check.

Now all he has got to do is to show up as the head of a Necromancer guild on some o ther continent and he'll be done...

Yeah, but don't all Necromancers do that?

I wonder what MuadDib meant... That it isn't even Isabel we're seeing? Someone else in her body, as indicated by the "demon vision"?

The exception that confirms the rule, my friend. Man, Gauldoth ruled... even if he had a lame name.

Gauldoth and Sandro forever :butterfly: Still I like how the story is in H5. Since the haven folks are fanatical god licking belivers they are easly seduced once they see a potentional in power like necromany and demon magic, once they have stepped into their secrets there are almost no way out of it :devious:
Guee Nicolai and Isabels new child will be an undead demon hybrid... creepy :S

And about the lack of no-heroic evolvement in H5. You know there can be both evil and good and even neutral heroes? Like Isabel and Nicolai would be evil heroes, heroes of the undead and demonic.
