Hexes look better IMHO. Makes it look less like chess too.

Tot uit ca traiesti in muntii... You know you can find screenshots of other games online right?! And many other things to compare stuff with. :devious:

Sounds like they plan to have fighting heroes, though the sentence is odd. Anywho, looks like something worth keeping an eye on for sure.
maybe it means "when on hero, increases attack by 5"

@TT
And what do you propose I should do? Start hunting good looking games on the Internet? I don't have the time nor the interest to do such a thing. I make-do with what I get. [ro] Şi te rog las-o moale cu insinuările alea glumeţe... nu mă supăr, dar nici nu-s amuzante.

No,it means that it increases heroes attack by 5.But wheter heroes will be in battle,or is their attack just a booster for creatures is unclear by that sentence.

I am sorry for some confusion I brought. So there was a clear comment from developer of this game: there is only one game they are working on - BattleLord. This will be adventure/rpg style game.

Btw, there are much more screenshots there. The link is the same:
http://www.ag.ru/screenshots/battle_lord

You can allso download movies (havn't tested them myself):
http://public.ag.ru/download/videos/154 ... ve.avi.exe
http://public.ag.ru/download/videos/154 ... 06.exe.exe
http://public.ag.ru/download/videos/154 ... 06.exe.exe
Just don't try to download in several threads, or server will ban you for 15 minutes, IIRC.

Dwarves, hyenas and bad english (Hyenas had caused 68 damage) :-D

Graphics of the creatures are interesting. A bit rough, but nice and cartoony. Have to check the videos later when I'm not about to go to bed.

" imagine a Heroes of Might and Magic game where you move around the map in real time"

Ah. Nevermind that then :disagree:

Might very well be good, but I'm really not into RTS's. Even with TB combat.

Lords of the Realm 2 is a weird exception, it has realtime turnbased adventuremap with realtime combat :|

I don't know how they did it :(
Try visiting this page: http://www.ag.ru/files/videos/battle_lord/16901/agb
Somewhere in the middle of the page, just below a small Russian flag, you'll see the link. That link is the same as I gave you, but it works somehow. 8|

I just clicked on one of the images to enlarge it, and it actually brought up a picture that had a bunch of (I assume) Russian lettering, but it said "Heroes of Might and Magic" in English. The picture had some kind of dragon, a knight, and a sky blue looking background Weird, I'll see if I can find it again.

...Maybe it was some kind of error image. I can't seem to locate it. But it was on the site for Battle Lord when I clicked on one of those images.

i like the hexes far better than squares..

but i have a weird feeling this game is going to have modified rules, making it unplayable. it's like that in every clone.

H5 has lost all Heroes flavour, but regained much of what H4 had lost. The graphical evolution was something i disliked, but was necessary to sell the game in this world of competition and propaganda (Ubisoft-published games tend to commercialise most). The nice rules expansion in H5 make H3 not much of a thrill to play anymore. H4 was totally unplayable, of course.

but, i went off topic.

i don't give this game much chance.. and a very important fact is - it's not Heroes®.
