Second, I think that it would be better to download and store them on CH, to prevent this situation coming next time.

That would take time, as benbird have many images. So it could been a good idea to think out some url parser, to extract them all at once.

benbird also posted this walkthrough at Gamerhome (http://gamerhome.com/bbs/forum.php?mod= ... rid=370472). It's a lot of work but someone could get all the images and see if they match the ones that were posted here. You need an account to view the forum, but not for images; there is the info to an account made by benbird somewhere here I believe.

Now ,the very same problem with previous image hoster, ie "imagecross.com", which he used in his first posts. That's like 500 images missing, any idea where they can be mirrored?

For the map Way Home I'm afraid there is no easy solution because the names of screenshots on Imagecross don't match those hosted on gamerhome. One can manually extract all images/links but that will take a while - and then they have to be replaced here.

One solution that comes to mind is to get the html source and then use automation to get the jpg picture links from that. If that can be done, let me know and I'll send you the source to all 38 pages from benbird. Or if you know something faster/simpler then even better.

That is possible, for example firefox+pterodactl can do that. Likely also httrack. Send me the sources - ideally in reply here, if it's possible. The part where I'm worried, is to comparing the descriptions, as they must be the same.

that's indeed a lot of images, they are not all though or they have broken order.

Like this ones, ..,700,701. It seems like 281 images are missing.

I remember that I failed to parse url links from the html posted by RoseKavalier.

Are you positive files are missing? According to the numbers it seems so but I haven't double checked it. Perhaps he didn't upload all of them, being the numbers missing screenshots he never upload for not being the right attempts. Just wondering.
