Yup, it's many-headed-humor. The "ability" isn't mentioned anywhere else.

Each faction has an enraged unit, it's those that take the role of defenders and meatshields (Squires, Hydras, Treants, Zombies ect.). Once a friendly stack is completly wiped out, they gain +1 to attack. This is to make them more useful on the long run as they are usually the last thing to be targetted by the opposing force.

But to become enraged requires a unit to have a morale,to have a mind.Undead units have no mind. How can they become enraged?See,thats the stupidity of HV I was talking about! No unique race. Each has to have a ranged unit,a flyer,a caster,an enraged unit.Bah!Why cant we have a no ranged town?Or a no caster town?Or a pure ground town?Or a pure flyer town?Copy/pasteing is really boring!

Maybe the smell of splatered brains makes them more ravenous. Yummy, BRAINS.

It isn't a threat, it's a command. Which they must follow.

But if so, then, as was said, all undead would have it. Since the commander would have them attack at their hardest from the start.

The point in using undead is exactly in that they never panic, never partially obey,or disobey, never rebel, etc. They always obey you the best way they physically can.The whole point of undead having no morale in previous HoMMs was to point out that they have no mind and that they always attack in the same way.Having a unit attacking harder because some of its comrades died means that that unit has a mind and is conciusly aware of whats going on around it.So an enraged zomby is one of the stupidest things theyve put in HV.Even worse than those idiotic names.

Wouldnt that make them more ferocious even if an enemy stack dies? And what about constructs?Do they count?

Ehh...Necropolis used to be unique. No morale,or morale affecting spells. No mind affecting spells. And holy word affected just them, but they were immune to death ripple. And now?The uniqueness is gone.
