Creature discrepancies

Unread postby Kalah » 27 Apr 2006, 12:41

I just discovered a discrepancy between the Demo and the offial site's creature encyclopedia. In the Demo, the Familiars are the base creature, and Imps are their upgrades. In the encyclopedia, however, the roles are reversed. Familiars are now the upgrade. :?

Also, the demo Squires are referred to as Knights. They are the upgrade of Squires, which in the Demo were the Footmen. The Conscripts are called Militia Guards, and the Succubus Mistress is Succubus Favourite.

Well familiars have been the upgrade in HIII,and imps were the base in HIV,so Id think that in HV familiars will be the upgrade again.

Yeah its a bit confusing, but at least the names have been dealt with. We just have to play the full version to see the reults of the names.
i think Footman--Squire is good enough, I mean Knights are riding on horses but of course Crusader could be a good name instead of Squire, since religion are a mian factor in HV. Paladin wouldnt fit good, neither Templar since them both are way more powerful than to be placed as 3rd lvl units!

Why are Templars too powerful? Thay all got killed pretty easy in the Middle Ages.

And Squires are more like glorified weapon-bearers, and they're supposed to learn to fight from the knight, so they're not fighters yet. '

Until we see them in the final game the names aren't final. And that encyclopedia wasn't been modified since it first appeared.

IIRC I think the names in encyclopedia are the old names from beta version.

i can't see the squire as the upgrade of anything, why don't we just stick with the good old swordsman:

footman -> swordsman

perfect! :proud:

This is not the "silly names topic".

I swear, the spammers will ruin this forum...
