And I'm telling you, the game is exceeding expectations on my part. It's almost a M&M version of Deus Ex.

Funny you should say that, as I'm currently playing Deus Ex: Invisible War.

You know what? It looks awesome! Now I'll just have to choose which to play first: DM or ES:Oblivion. Decisions, decisions...

It is quite simple... Oblivion is out now and DMoMM hasn't even got a release date yet...

It is Source game, you would have to put extra effort to make it look bad.

I like Deus Ex 1 better than either System Shock, those SS2 is a close second to DX1.

I actually played the games in the order Dex 1, SS1 SS2 and enjoyed them in increasing amounts (thought it was close between the last 2). I really didn't find Deus Ex all that much different from an average shooter and I found the whole "multiple pathways" thing really clumsily done. I just loved the atmosphere of the SS games, the off the wall computer sim levels in the first one and the superb story in both of them. Deus ex was a cool game, no doubt, but it didn't grab me in the way the SS games did.

System Shock 1 was released in 1994. Deus Ex in 2000, and System Shock 2 in 1999.

I have a hard time playing anything released prior to 2000 (with the exception of Heroes III). I tried replaying the first Deus Ex a while ago and found the character models horrible.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Try System Shock 2 with the fan-mod model upgrade.
