A very high profile beer company in my country (who's beer I found even when I was in seattle) used a music track from the game Severance: Blade of Darkness (an exceptional Hack n Slash RPG from a spanish developer).
The other I know of is even more daring.. our most popular TV house, for one of its most watched show uses the music from the WoW tavern during its intro.

It doesn't copy only from Oblivion, but also from:
- The Elders Scrolls III: Morrowind
- Diablo
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Silent Hill
- Painkiller
- World of Warcraft
- Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
- Black&White 2
- Thief
- Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
I can't believe they got away with this...

No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.
Are you sure these tunes are originals to those you attribute them as stolen from? Because there are libraries of publicly available tunes that are used in all sorts of media when they can't be bothered to make up their own stuff, including in HoMM iirc.Infiltrator wrote:A very high profile beer company in my country (who's beer I found even when I was in seattle) used a music track from the game Severance: Blade of Darkness (an exceptional Hack n Slash RPG from a spanish developer).

I am quite sure, there was a demo of various music variations that the studio had, some done with female, some with male voices etc, furthermore, the composers were Spanish as the developers.
Blizzard always makes their in-house music, they can afford it after all, even for orchestrated soundtracks, this was a simple but rather catchy tavern tune.

Is it really so hard to record a freaking door and be original and more realistic, especially for movies with big budget???
I'll never understand Hollywood.

Ah... so cute when they think anything is original...Old_Man wrote:That's just sad. I don't see why people should entirely rip off a game and then add a few little things to it. It's just stupid to me.
