The Vote Poll was just for 30 days and thank you all for cooperation.

It seems that some players want some changes in economy. :)


Want new changes that are just for testing purpose, contact: Omega or BAD23ro for now. My friend's name still will be a secret.

You shouldn't confine voting time. I was active but haven't noticed it until now.
I am not for increasing income. Playing with increased income for me will be even more not chalinging considering weak AI

1500 gold is for all, including AI. Isn't our fault that AI is poor, but if want, we can try in next updates to give AI some boost if we can find a way(I won't promise anything).

I had forgotten about this topic, but as GOW said you have to consider how these types of changes will affect maps that were balanced by their creators. Besides scripts can easily be written to control the amount of gold a city gives. In one of my maps I placed a city solely for its caravan. I disabled all of the buildings except the caravan which it started with, but the city would of course still give the owner 500 gold. I just added a script that took 500 gold everyday they owned that town. It ran without alerting the player it was happening other than the mayor tellling them there was a 500/day fee for using the town. So the overall result was a town that did not generate income. That type of script can easily be modified to give/take any amount of gold. Therefore there is no need for this ability as it can be scripted. :D

Excellent points indeed. Existing maps and easy implementation by means of scripting make any change undesirable.

With all the respect Dalai, there is people that enjoy these changes, so I will help Omega even only 10% of the players request some new changes. :)

I haven't played Heroes IV in the last 2 years and I have experience with this game, even won maps in Championships, so, maybe you have a point with scripting, but look at Poll :)
And that's fine, but I think Dali's point here is while adding this type of feature is fine, let's concentrate on adding things scripting can't.

I think I'm in that 10% than. I agree that it's easy to give 500 gold/day, but doing it for every map it can be annoying, plus I don't like changeing the maps I play.

For AI, isn't there a way to make AI to cheat?

We all have right in our way, so don't apologyze :)

Anyway, I got mails and requests to make 4000 gold and I refused and never we will do that(1250-1500 seems reasonable).

Some players use random maps . Don't forget that :)

For now, only using scripting.

Even you give gold, resources, armies every day, the AI is poor on Champion. He doens't know to build mines, to use potion of immortality(just one forced from start) and the heroes will die fast and an army without a hero is useless against a big fight. :(

Anyway, an AI with level 40 from start is a good opponent , but that isn't the right way to play. :mad:

I meant that. But somehow, to be in everymap, without putting there individually. Something like in WoG.

It doesn't have to be 40 lvl. It could be less, let's say 5 on S maps, 8 on M maps, 11 on L and 14 on XL maps. It would do something for the start.

It's your choice. All I said it's not the change worth making efforts. Because it's easy to do in other way and it brings more harm than use.

Try making poll like "Do you want Sony to send everybody a new laptop once a year?" Do you really think it would be right to do what poll says?

I'll just create tutorials and mods if are requests. If I'll play again a map for Heroes IV, will be in tournaments or single maps where AI cheating, otherwise is a joke.
Playing against human is very different. Making changes based on singleplayer experience like driving a car by fuel indicator only.

Lack of money is not the game design flaw. It's an advantage you fail to see. If every player had plenty of money it would ruin half of diversity. Player has to make less choice decisions. New skill OR two 3-rd level units? Why bother, I take both. You have 1 possible outcome instead of 4. For EVERY choice.

Second reason - rate of return for every investment in the game. All rates are close to each other, with only exception of peasant. We changed the peasant to correct this. Now you offer to dramatically increase rate of return for City Hall. Why is City Hall any better than Treasury, for example? Town Hall? Peasant again?

Just because you can't make choice and you want it all? Choose lesser difficulty then. Or it's not cool to win on less than impossible?

Guys u do a great job but players wants to get New Equilibris as fast as this is possible. Personally I agree with Dalai: making changes can destroy easy multiplayer games, and lack of money is a spirit of this game. Bravo Dalai!
Anyway we waits for new mod ;|
