Indeed. Not to mention, my beloved Jenova...destroyer of Impossible AI's all around Antagarich.

Anyways...can't the Gorgons move forward, then down past the skeleton?
(If not, then someone is about to win with 23 wimpy troops...

Though it doesn't look like it, the Gorgons are blocked from forward movement by the bottom rock formation.winterfate wrote: Anyways...can't the Gorgons move forward, then down past the skeleton?

Far too many people speak their minds without first verifying the quality of their source material.

I agree. But I really enjoy buying a citadel and a castle in H5 due to what it does for me when my town is being sieged. In H4 citadel and castle were just things I bought cause I had too much money, wanted the city to look prettier and because it was simply necessary to get certain creatures.ThunderTitan wrote:I hated that they simplified sieges in H4... the shooting towers where cool though.
Other than that it seemed almost a complete waste. In H5 (and seing from the picture I assume in H3 as well) it's just really worth buying

Capturing Gorgons
Wall proportional relationships between walls and creatures were never on my mind so much as where I was going to move my troops to enter the shattered part of the wall. Gotta feel sorry for the Hero with the Gorgons to get beat like that though. Or possibly retreat and try it again.
Side Note: I have recently been playing H4 for the first time and I will say I love town seiges in H3 more that H4. More options to get to your opponent in H3. IMO.

I mean, in H3&5 those towers start to matter less and less when dealing with large armies. In H4 they never lost their value.
Have you ever tried Cyclops on one of the defending towers?

H4 defending in general was great cause you could stall for ever and ever but at the same time I thought my creatures were way too vulneral when they were placed on the towers.

You need to play more H5... the towers are only useful in the beginning... when the armies are big enough they're just an annoyance if you haven't got good sieging skills/units.

If you're lucky it's just 1 shot... or if you have the right skills it is 1 shot.

"I don't play H3 anyway."
I'll pretend I didn't hear that, Milla. If that's the case, you should start playing H3.
Now.
Right now.
It's good for you.
Are you still reading? Stop reading and get playing!

CloudRider X is right Milla. It's just not right to dis H3 if you have'nt played it. There are just too many options for both sides during Castle seiges in H3. More so than in H4. It seems in H4, everything relies on what happens once the town door is broke apart to me. In relative time speaking, by the time I have the door open to a town in H4, I have already done a bunch of damage to my opponents' troops in H3 and getting ready for my closing blows. I now know this to be true.
But, yes, defending a town in H4 is much greater than in H3. (But in H4 you can't break walls, sniff, sniff)

I was thinking of a compromise once where you get 2 auto-towers with the first two wall upgrades and then 1-2 climbable towers with the next upgrade... you also get destroyable walls and gate, with Catapults for walls and units for the gate, but more then just 3 hits... start at 2 for basic and end up at 5-6 at max wall lvl. No Ballistas as items, but Ammo Carts can be bought and they up your shots to 2/3x.
