German tourists in Norway can be divided into two classes:

1) The caravan-tourists, who bring everything they possibly can with them, and spend as little money in the country as possible. After all, they're mostly here to look at our nature, not to drink our beer or eat our chocolate. This is the largest group.

2) The overly extravagant, who arrive in their BMWs and Mercedeses, with a trunk full of ski equipment and a ski box on the car roof. These guys will check in at the best hotels, and stay for two weeks or more. When these guys finally get their once-a-year holiday, they plan on going it in style.

Then of course there is the backpacker group, but they're no different than backpackers from other nations.

Well if you're on holiday far from home, you can do what you want, who's going to know...

Though probably a fair amount of wishful thinking on the part of the aussies.

I met one once. Kinda like standing in the presence of a Brit... only she's got manners.

Nah, they look nice, it's only when they open their mouths and reveal that cockney accent that I lose my appetite.
