Won't there be any hints? I'm really helpless right now, trying to figure this riddle out. ;|

The only hints I can think of would give too much away. It's one of very few, you see.

Oh, wait, that was a hint.

The "hint" is just "It's one of very few."

Good guess, HP, but no.

Hint #2: You'd be much more feared if you neglected the friend that gifts you.

What's a cursed artifact? What is this, Nethack? I don't believe negative artifacts are officially called "cursed."

Nothing to do with artifacts.

An artifact that has negative effects are called Cursed artifact. They have always been cursed artifacts. In fact, a Cursed artifact cannot be removed unless a dispell curse spell has been cast upon it.

I know. I meant Artifacts with Negative Effects. I would have typed that out, but I was making that post from an iPhone.

Isn't it called "Remove Curse?" And what about Bless?

I didn't think you could remove the cursed artifacts in Heroes 2.

Sure you could: Hire level 1 hero, transfer bad artifacts, dismiss him. Problems solved, until he's hired by the AI and sent towards you...

Yea, Remove Curse.

Bless isn't used for curses. It's used for blessing things :P. And if we are going by Hero standards, it would only increase your damage.

SO! If it's not an artifact (nor a cursed/negative/belowzero one), it should be "the action of not allowing troops to flee from an encounter"?

Although it can happen in other heroes games...ah, well. Just a shoot in the dark by now. :)

*expecting another hint in the meantime :beg:*

That was caused by the....Shackles of War, right?

That's has something to do with an artifact. It also does not match much of the riddle. Do I need to tell you whether it's the answer?

I will not give you a hint. All I will do is tell you that it is thanks from a friend in the form of a gift, which of course you should already know. Think about what types of things that can be other than artifacts.

Actually, I will give a semi-hint: Unless you have an excellent memory, if you have not played Heroes II in a while, there is no way you'll get this.

Actually, I've meant that single question when you go against an army that's weak and they ask you if they can leave.

Hum, I suppose I'll go for a walkthrough, since I feel it's campaign related and I've never played a campaign in H2, just single maps. If we are to accept a group of units from a friendly player during the role and we refuse, that can turn them against us. Well, if I find something like that, I'll return, because that's what I got by now.

Okay, it's not pursuit and engagement.

Huh? What are you talking about?
