Tie between h3 and h4 for me, but since 3 is before 4, voted 4.

I'm going to make myself unpopular, but I think four is best. I like the animations particularly and the whole Tolkienesque hobbit hole and cuteness of the whole thing. It really feels like peace and harmony and soporific idealism.

The tower looks like merely a cold sterile city of wizards, which is what it is, while Heroes IV looks like it acutually has a life.

I like the direction they took for the H5 wizard town. The snowy theme was getting a little boring. It's hard to judge H5 vs. the other, because of this. Of H2-H4, I liked H3 the best. But I'll go with H5 because it's a refreshing change.

I don't think the point it to judge the towns on creature designs, but to judge the towns on what the town screens look like.

Sorry you're right of course, :ashamed: but it would not change my vote, though the creature appearance did influence it.

Voted Heroes III

Not only did I love the look and feel of the Tower, but I loved the architecture and the Flying Balloon Grail Structure. I was sooooo happy when they went from a desert landscape to a snowy one. Heroes IV was pretty cool too.

Vote for H5. Completely magical and mechanic, it's very likely the concept idea I had of it when I was wondering how Heroes 5 Tower town would be. At that time, I called my idea as Skyland, above clouds and such. It's just as close as I could think. Great.

Heroes 4 comes next. When on snow terrain, it was rather organized and beautiful because of the buildings.

Heroes 2 and 3 looked a bit jammed and things seemed to be grouped as if they had nowhere to be set. In Heroes 3, I feel like buildings are not really integrated with the scenery. Heroes 2, buildings seemed put at random.

i voted for h5

H2 barely looks magical to me if someone asked me what kind of town it was i'd just say that it sucks and has no personality

H3 is honoured to be in the second place bacause it just seems very magical to me

H4 one is worse than H2 one, with no personality at all with just random things everywhere.

H5 one i think is the best. with all the arabic structured buildings, with beautiful creature dwellings, with Titans smokin merouanna in their place... :slap:

hard to choose between H3 and H5 but i took H5 :D

The tower in H3 was the best with the snow, the mountains, and the spires.

But like the flying city most :D its awesome.

Always wondered about how an enemy hero would get up to that town :P

My vote goes to the Heroes III Tower. The Bracadan mountains are just majestic. Great artwork meets good unit design. In addition, the Tower theme fits well with the overall feeling of the faction. Classic all the way.

H2: Nothing special really. Could have been better with a different surroundings to begin with.
H4: Random backround that is supposed to match the type of terrain used in the area? Somehow the whole idea just mysteriously backfires...
H5: Some nice elements here and there fall short of saving the "big picture" from being at best a minor disappointment.

I thought H2's cloud-elevated Titan castle was majestic compared to H3's, which is just some big land-bound temple despite having the same name.

Yeah, it's not like a greek-looking temple has anything to do with Titans... (i'll give you the land bound thing, but i'm guessing that was because of the Angels Dwelling).

Well, I agree with you, UHO that the term "Cloud Temple" seems to referr to a building standing free (floating) on a cloud or otherwise being located high on a mountain. "Cloud Temple" could also make a reference into the Greek mythology where titans were clearly elemental gods.

The titan dwelling is perhaps the best piece of art seen in the entire H2 Wizard faction. Unfortunately having one good apple in an apple cart which consists mostly of second rate products is not enough to save the day for H2's version of Academy/Tower.

My most humble 2 €uro Cents.
