Alright, here's my idea. I've seen games based off of similar ideas before.

I was using Wikipedia today and I got to thinking about how interconnected all the pages are, because of all the hyperlinks. And then I started wondering if every page is, in some way, connected to every other page, and how it would be something of a puzzle to take two random pages, and then try to figure out how to get from one to the other using only hyperlinks. And then I starting thinking you could make a game of it.

So here's the idea:

Game name: Six Degrees of Wiki (or Website) Separation

Rules:

1. The person in charge picks two ostensibly unrelated wikipedia articles and posts them here.

2. Everyone tries to determine the easiest way to get between the two using ONLY hyperlinks (i.e., no searching using text strings).

3. The first person to post a correct road map between the two articles wins the round, and posts the next set.

4. Players should attempt to make connections of 6 clicks or less. That is, can you get from the starting page to the ending page using only six mouse clicks or less?

5. All wiki articles must be in english.

Example:

Start: Emperor Augustus
Finish: Applesauce

One Solution:

Augustus --> Roman Empire --> Religion in Ancient Rome -->Greek Mythology --> Golden Apple --> Apple --> Applesauce

If we get bored with just wiki articles, the game can actually be expanded to include all websites. Actually I've seen one variation where you just choose a starting url (www.disney.com, etc.) and everyone races to try to find a way to link to any site that contains a picture of a certain object, for example, a woman's breast. (Pornography is exceptionally difficult from sites like Disney, as you can imagine.)

Anyway, that's the idea.

I hear that. Good idea otherwise. Guess the internet has spoiled a lot of good games for us, huh?

Well, we can do the regular website variation. I.e., no wikipedia.

Well, that should do anyway. We can't just start a game like: "Guess what I am holding right now." because it would be a bit unfair... :D

I don't advise saying that to little kids...
