That kind of thing is always happening around here, but the worst is how people is lured by some adds and fall for it. One that is common is when you get a call (for a start, it's a charged call... ), then they say that if you buy a number X of cards for you phone (pre-paid cellphones, that is) and give them the number of these cards, you'll win something really nice, a TV, or else. So, people buy, sometimes even 200 or 300 bucks and give them the numbers - so, the smart-guys get the number for their cellphones and leave people in limbo.

I get hot professors all the time...Omega wrote:I've always felt cheated on that. I never had any hot teachers when I was a teenager.
Of course some of them are......
Life's a balance I guess.
So with the scale you get a 77?My Secured Transactions professor no longer needs to be eaten because he finally got our grades turned in. I've never been so happy to get a 52 in my life. Thank God for the 25 point grading scale.
If so, then congrats!
Otherwise, what do you mean?
I'm waiting for my grades to be turned in tomorrow. We'll see what I get.
My advisor is pretty cool...she's in her 50's, but she's a young spirit, and lots of fun to take classes with. I can't wait to take Applied Microbiology in third year with her...Meh. He's a nice guy and all, but I don't want to see him anymore than I have to. Makes it tricky seeing as how he's my advisor.

I once scored 12 (out of hundred) on a physics test and ended up with a B because of the curve.Omega_Destroyer wrote:Not quite. A 52 was a C. So the grading scale awas about 25 points lower because without a curve, about only 25 people out of 100 would have passed the class.

Gaaah! My home is invaded by spiders, and there's no man in the house to save me/throw them out!!! Batman! Where are you?!?!
Brave as I am, I still managed to put a glas over the (dead) spider so it couldn't run away... Not that it would run away since it's dead.
Can I please get a little flame thrower?
