Ok back early from my jaunt to hollywood, basically good news/bad news deal. Good news, they do like my idea and want to make a pilot...bad news is they want somebody else to do the script (as I am not a 'seasoned' scriptwriter). I would retain the rights to the idea, and get paid, but I would not be directly involved. *sighs*. Got 48 hrs to call them back with my decision, and I really don't know what to do. (good thing I did copywrite the material before going). I just don't like the idea of letting somebody else decide everything that happens. I don't mind them having some control, but total control makes me edgy. Advice?
P.S. Jet lag stinks! As for LA I couldn't stand it *sighs* tooooo big for me (am a small town girl at heart). Had to get out as soon as I could. Got to say they did have style though. Limos, first class plane tickets, first class hotel (Hilton but in a private suite). Didn't cost me a dime. The place was overwhelming though. Couldn't make heads or tails of anything
