Since people like barbarian's, I was wondering how you guys would set up the barbarian for H5

I would prefer a Naga town myself, but I hope the next expansion includes both.

A quick generic barbarion town would have,

LEVEL 1: Goblin, upgradable to a range unit useing poison blow darts

LEVEL 2: Orc, upgradable to an uncontrolable double damage dealing "orc berzerker"

LEVEL 3: Harpy, upgradable to the no retaliation "Harpy hag"

LEVEL 4: Troll, upgradable to posses a powerfull regeneration ability that will even bring the creatures back to life after the stack is dead, until all other creatures in the barbarian's army are also dead.

LEVEL 5: Storm feather, upgradable to the lightening enchanted "thunder bird"

LEVEL 6: Giant, upgradable to the lazer eyed "cyclops" (or rock hurling cyclops depending on taste)

LEVEL 7: Devourer, upgradable to behemoth

Nothing here is original in the least which is why I prefer the naga concept. I think an Aztec, zulu, or tribal artistic theme could make this town more visually interesting. Im getting sick of the same old germanic or Mongul barbarians.

Nice job gregthanatos, although I would prefer to see ogres instead of harpies (original H3 roster). There are some ogre artifacts in HoF so I guess they will be in either in a town or as neutrals. I wouldn't want a Naga barbarian town.

I already posted my setup somewhere, but this was a long a time ago. Here is an updated version:

It is based on orcs, but there might also be human barbarians in Ashan. And I don't care about upgrades in this one.

1. Goblin fast weak walker, cannon fodder

2. Orc melee unit

3. Orc shooter

4. Ogre walker, powerful but slow tank (I would prefer Trolls, but there are already Ogre artifacts in the game)

5. Orc shaman caster

6. Wyvern (Paokai) flyer, blind

7. Cyclops either walker or throwing boulders

I don't really see those 2 together
the naga's have the water dragon but i'd be cool if they din't have a dragon for level 7 tier hydra would be cool with a different upgrade (chaos hydra)
also since humans merged with the angels they worship dragon of light now
wich leaves dragon of air/wind open for the barbarians they should be just like homm 3 with easy level 7 tier build (cause I owned at heroes 3 with 2 day roc)

If the barbarian faction has orcs much like the academy wont worship a dragon god which is good. I dont care what set up is as long as the thunderbird and behemoth are in it. I would also like it to be a true might faction no magic period.

A true might faction would fall very easily to magic.

The Dragon of Air is taken by the so called Free Cities, which are city-states that have an alliance or something like that.

The Naga's have the Water Dragon and the Orcs don't have any dragon as they we're enslaved by a bunch of dragon worshipers.

Im sure they can find some way to make it work but I know youre right. Who enslaved the orcs after they got away from the wizards?

Okay Nival hates anything from HIV and has put little to none of thegood stuff from HIV in HV save caravans. I think DL calls it the rule.

Who cares about creature line-ups at this point?
The real question would be the one for the racial, at least for me.
So what racial could we possible expect?

I have a really stupid one I call it To Dumb To Notice It reduces damage and gives a chance to ignore any attack say 3% DR and 2% ignore for basic 6/5 advanced 10/9 expert 15/13 for master. Of course it woul only work on barbarian troops, it would give them a chance against magic factions.
