Thane/Warlord Attack Damage

Unread postby erased. over. out » 20 Nov 2006, 20:04

Does anyone think the Thane's and Warlord's damage ranges are a bit weak? I mean, 9-14 for an upgraded tier 6 unit? That's less than an Imperial Griffin! I know that it has great abilities like teleport and Storm Strike, but I'd like the damage range to be bumped up to atleast 12-18. Personally, I do not think that would overpower it by any means. Thoughts?

The damage range is actually double, so its 18-28.

Really? That's news to me. Apologies for the mix-up. Perhaps I overlooked it ;|

They do 9-14 (modified) normal damage and then the same (modified) damage again as Lightning damage that spreads chain-like to each enemy unit that is adjacent to one suffering that Lightning damage.
On a full battlefield this translates into a massive damage output.

True. Perhaps the damage range is justified then :D .

I have also noticed that the kill rate always is higher than the game says its gonna be when you lay the pointer over a unit. A bug perhaps.

Btw have you noticed that temples are double as effective on the last day of the week?

There was a rumour in the taverns about that but I never bothered to check it! :D
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

They only have an attack of 15 so even if the damage is doubled, it's not going to be much.

The pointer counts only the base damage, not the effect of the lightning, which I believe can be resisted?

The warlord is my favorite unit in the new line up, it can hit multiple units, even from range, and there defense is nothing to sneeze at.
