Ultimate Necromacy
Hi all! I just started playing HommV TOTE and my favorit faction so far is necropolis. I have played a few games, but I never succeeded to get ultimate necromance. Should I get to a certain lvl first?
Also, wich unit is better, vampire lord or prins? I get the feeling the lord is better because of the no enemy retaliation, but I'm not sure.
I hope this is the right place to post this.

Ah, Necropolis, my favorite faction. The one faction I can give advice on.
Imo, do not go for the ultimate. It is truly not worth it. There are far better things to get than that. However, if you feel compelled to go after it, here are the skills that you must choose to acquire it.
Expert Dark Magic/Master of Curses/Master of Pain/Dark Renewal
Expert Summoning Magic/Master of Conjuration/Master of Life/Banish
Expert Enlightenment/Schlar/Arcane Exaltation/Lord of the Undead
Banshee Howl/Eternal Servitude/Mark of the Necromancer.

I *much* prefer the vampire lords because of the no retaliation strike. Not only is it better for preventing losses but if you phantom forces them the phantom attacks with no retaliation too.

Yes and no, cause with it, your opponent will be forced to use some artifacts to boost his Morale, that will not be in very use at all... Otherwise, I find useless two of the Summoning Secondary Skills, expect if you are not playing against Demons, than Banish MAY come in use...The Mad Dragon wrote:... Imo, do not go for the ultimate. But I was wondering more about the Elemental Chain... is it does enough damage at all? Esp. compared with Nature's Luck?
And about the Arcane Omniscience - I find it a bit useless as well. When it's said ALL the spells it doesn't mean all of them at all - where are the Mass Spells? Bah!
And again, otherwise is nice to have all of the Ultimates, just to settle some COOL stuff in the castles, boost the necromacy abilitie or whatever

Guess I have underestimated the Warlock (Ultimate) - Lucretia was totally DESTROYED in that battle and even with "Chilling Bones" and "Bone Ward" + some artifacts for spells resistance Well, guess that the "Power of Dragons" during the game and "Lion's Spirit" during the battle helped... a bit A Warlock Luck to have merchant in the Castle and two merchants around it I guess
You didnt know?I guess vampirism would be nerfed sooner or later....better to use vampirism than ressurection.aaelgr wrote:The Pendant of Mastery.I didn't realise you could cast Vampirism on Vampires. How does it help them? Do they drain a larger amount of the damage they do?Tensho wrote:I prefer Vampire lords(and cast vampirism on them=imba )
Also,''Regeneration'' will be removed i guess.I love to cast it on my 1000-2000 hp phoenix

Considering that you don't need any spell schools to get AO, it is like getting 4 extra primary skills! (realistically, you will probably want one or two schools to use some of the better spells before you get AO). Also, since scholar is a prerequisite, the hero with AO can teach all your secondary heroes every spell that they are able to learn - great when hiring new heores for defending a newly capture town.parcaleste wrote:
