Football Manager

Unread postby Kalah » 23 May 2011, 15:57

This great old series is still going strong, and I've been playing it since the early days of Championship Manager 2.

One thing the developers have had a tendency to do, is place subtle messages hinting at the typical addictedness players experience (such as playing all night non-stop on a school night). Here is such a message ... ;)

Here's what i don't get... why buy a new one, what exactly can it add to actually justify making a whole new game out of? Outside of FIFA rule changes i don't see anything that couldn't be handled in a patch.

Yeah, I thought about that too. I guess a lot of it is just updating, and since the developers have made quite an excellent editor too, fans can in fact update the game indefinitely - proved they can be bothered to update the status of +20.000 players.

But new stuff is added too, such as the 3D engine's efficiency (which is so terrible in FM2010 that the game crashes every ten minutes with the 3D rendering activated).

Don't tell me you actually watch the pretty graphics after the first dozen games...

I think I'd have more fun with Excel.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.
