Problem chosing skills

Unread postby psaval » 15 Jun 2010, 20:27

I have HoMM5 with no expansion set. I play a lot trying to get those ratial skills maximized, but i never reach the " ! " like for the "Arcane Omniscience" or the "terror howling" even using skillwheel.

I had even created a map where i can easily and fast increase my levels and skills, but i do never get the correct combination. Almost always i need to make a choose i want not to make.

What i do wrong? there is some special order in picking skills after leveling up?

getting the ultimate can be quite tricky indeed, the key is to get the skills first and then start focusing on the subskills, other then that I have no advice for I have only been able to get the ultimate skill 3 times

I think that it will be nice if they collect some annonimous data to understand what users are doing. I.E., if all users are taking attack and defense because gives a huge bonus every time a creature attacks, and it's better than a magic spell once in a turn, then they should increase the spell powers, and otherside around. Things must be balanced in the way of every strategy being possible and a winning strategy if used carefully (and maybe luckily).

In fact, i think the luck skill is unbalanced, but provides just less fun (you get the reward with normal attacks) than dark magic, in example, with more options.
