more special resources only serve to increase the *luck* factor instead of a strategic factor. In my opinion, Heroes should be a strategy game. What's with everyone wanting strategy games to have zero luck in them... i for one would rather be a general then a chess champion. Because if we want rand...

BTW: they sad you can sabotage enemy mines hawing your hero nearby (their production is stopped) and hack them to work for you by entering/standing on it (resources are generated for you until hero stays in). Then that control zone thing is there for preventing players from doing the infamous hit &...

What’s the problem with shorter matches? When HoMM 5 came out years ago the community finally admitted that spending a whole evening playing a single 1vs1 match for just 1 big epic battle was fun no longer, so devs introduced simultaneous turns and duel mode. It helped but duel mode was an unfinishe...

Sh*tloads of resource types has always been as HoMM representative as excessive. Wood, ore, sulfur, mercury, crystals, gems… too many for just 1 main purpose: buy structures. Developers noticed this and decided they have 2 options: 1- Find a specific use for each resource. 2- Reduce the amount of re...

This is like another power rating. Such things are useful for some game mechanics like dealing with number of neutral stacks, joining probability and so on, but they will never help players decide what is better for what in a game where the "power" of something depends on what you’re facin...

He, he, such combats are relatively easy when you know what needs to be done. You just need cold blood and a good eye for guessing the true menace level . If you focus on summoning and necromancy perks in the first week and defense in the second, you can kill some strong neutrals with almost 0 casua...

Losing 16 is quite a lot(more than 2 weeks growth)... seeing that you play with Vayshan and assasins are your early game strength... 16 assassins = 32 skeleton archers? 48? against 36 master hunters in the day 4, those casualties should make you very happy. any race can feed on slow walkers... even...

When I play necro, I pick usually lucretia, find a nice stack of lvl 4 creatures and spend all my week 2 DE on it raising thus a good number of vampires. And if I manage to get about 20 of them, I will creep pretty much every stack out there. I mean, even if druids cast lightning, once the vamps ge...

Hey, calm down. It has nothing to do with necropolis, it is a question of bad luck with mine guardians.

If Sleeping Attack works like Blinding Attack, Shield Bash, Whip Strike, and so on, the chance of “stunning” an enemy stack will be high considering the great amount of nosferatus you will be able to get v...

Would be nice to know how Death Wail works, or if the pathetic -1 to all enemy creatures is actually the Death Wail. Even Harm Touch seems a good ability compared to that.

You have forgot to mention that they are slow as plague zombies (3 turns to reach opponents ranks) and have the initiative rate of skellies. That means, they are too slow for raiding and have too low hp to be used as tanks (7 banshees = 770hp with much more speed, initiative and damage output). Tha...

@Wolfsburg: Lich Masters must be used mainly as melee tanks. They don’t have the right spells/skills to be able to stay back. Let’s make a comparison: 10 Lich Masters have 700hp, 22df, and deal 340-400 points of damage against a 0df creature. 6 Pit Lords have 720hp, 21df, and deal 163-390 points of ...

@Wolfsburg: You strategy has a BIG weak side: lich masters can cast raise dead 2 times only. They have 19 spell points. If you're going to use them just like support casters you will be wasting their huge combat stats. They are close combat specialists. I guess it will be better to raise basic lichs...

The Lich Master worries me... he is really tough and dangerous in close combat but very slow too, and only has Raise Dead and Weakness, 0 offensive spells, so his role is meatshield. The question is: Who needs another meatshield since you cannot get a legion of sk.archers anymore? I think he needs D...

It doesn't matter. It would be not in any way different as splitting stacks now Yes, it would be. For example, when you split a stack of wraiths you get multiple stacks of the same creature, but if alternative wraiths have an ability which gets better the larger the stack size is, then you will rec...

If both upgrades will be available building a single structure, then we can start to cry, because a lot of skills don't take stack size into account: Energy Channel, Shield Allies, Lay Hands, Fright Aura, Vorpal Sword, Weakening Strike, Harm Touch, Aura of Magic Resistance, Entangling Roots, Crippli...
