The Heroes Round Table

Well, I just bought Heroes VII and Might and Magic X. Also, I've barely played Heroes VI at all. So, I'm going to use this chronology to play all the Ashan games in order. Thanks for making it. :-)

After I install equilibris in the game, the game won't open. Using Windows 10. I have used Equilibris before 3.55 and it worked. But now that won't work either. are there any compatibility setting I need to use? Even without equilibris, Heroes IV has problems opening and playing video.

I saw Equilibris was just updated. Thanks, all who worked on it! Heroes IV with Equilibris is probably my favorite of all the Heroes games :-) But maybe there is something I don't understand about installation. After I installed the new beta version of Equilibris, I could no longer access campaigns ...

Why doesn't it just say what the signpost says? Instead it tells you about what the sign post says? Kind of takes you out of it.

It was green around Mt. St. Helens. Not that green but nowhere in real life is that color.

Maybe Ubisoft decided to put the I before the V in the number 6. Like they rearranged Heroes of Might and Magic into Might and Magic Heroes.

I think I painted myself into a corner in King's Bounty. I started out playing on the most difficult level, because that's what I've always done for HOMM games, but with HOMM games, if you mess up, you can restart the level and there are no levels in King's Bounty... I'm on the elf islands in the ga...

I never actually played IX, because I had no idea it came out or was even in development. I remember eagerly awaiting HOMMIV and then it came out, was a huge disappointment for me, and the next thing I heard was that 3DO went under -- I didn't hear about the HOMMIV expansions either. Then years late...

GOG added Might and Magic IX a couple of weeks ago, although it wasn't mentioned here, that gives them all the Might and Magic titles ever except for Warriors of Might and Magic, which I hear was awful, and its PS2 only sequel Shifters, which I hear was okay.

it's fine it's using the same engine. In the days of MM6-8 engines technologies were increasing so fast that the engine became dated. What would be important is that gameplay is changed enough to make it feel like a new game.

Etherlords 2 is just wonderful in my opinion and should appeal to Heroes fans who also like King's Bounty. Also, Disciples, Age of Wonder, Kohan, Seven Kingdoms, King Arthur, Tactics Ogre (not PC :-( ), Lords of Magic, Birthright, Hammer of the Gods, Fantasy Wars/Eleven Legacy. They are all classic ...

I didn't know you Batman was in this game!

You know, everyone who play Might and Magic games have a computer, whereas only a portion of those people have console. I'm just saying....

I'm fine with it being unfinished if the company continues to put hard work into it after it's out. A lot of Heroes V's end product was due to feedback from the initial release.

and I'm not complaining to complain. I've liked all most of the other visual ideas. (I am skeptical about the gameplay ideas, though)
