My Game - Wizard Realms - How to Score???
When you complete the map I want to create a much better ending and include a score for the game. I need suggestions and, if possible, examples. I know with Heroes the number of turns you took to complete a map was the main factor in the score. Should the same thing apply with Wizard Realms? Possibl...

I've made several changes to the game. Generators are tougher now. They are much better than your starting mage knights. Overall the game is a bit better balance (although there are still more game elements to add). The Make Knights now have names and different icons. I've used this in important pla...

I've made some changes to the overall pace of the game. The main game loop used to be occurring every .3 seconds. I've now changed that to .22 seconds. That still keeps the animation reasonable and the attacks are happening quicker. I also took a look at the AI. Movements and attacks that are happen...

Thanks for the feedback! One thing you can do is give multiple orders to your pieces. Example - click on one piece - click on a piece to attack. While it's moving and attacking select your next piece - click on a piece for it to attack. You can also cast spells while other things are happening. Exam...

Wizard Realms - New Spell - New Layout
It's been a good weekend for working on the game. Thanks to Wimfrits and Kristo for feedback and everyone else who has stopped by! 1. I've added a new spell to the game - Movement. You can now give your piece more movement for an extra attack or to reach a bonus that was out of reach. 2. The layout ...

1. Yes. In the code I'm adjusting the attribute and then calling the flickers to display the attack defense icons. I'll figure out a way to adjust the attribute after the flickers are shown. 2. Actually, the Mage Knights are 2x2 tile pieces. Each tile is 24 pixels. The generators are 3x3. I wanted t...

My game - Wizard Realms
Hello all! I've been coming here for Heroes news and maps for a long time and I've always wanted to make my own turn-based game. I made a shareware game - Hostile Takeover - back in 1992 that had some success and it was neat getting letters in from all over the world from people who had played the g...

Thanks
Thanks for the explanation!! I've been using a 'throw away' army in my troop lineup as it is. I run them across the battlefield, throw Got's Armour from the rage book on them and let the fun begin. I've also found the Shaman to be very useful. He gives a healing totem that heals my troops each turn ...
