The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced two major sponsors for the 2006 British Academy Video Games Awards: according to GameSpot, Nokia N-Gage and PC World are co-sponsoring the awards being held as part of the London Games Festival.

The Video Games Awards will be held on October 5 2006; the categories including Action & Adventure, Strategy, Children's games, Year's Best Game and the Gamers' Award - the only award voted for by members of the public.
