Several fans were wondering what was going on with MapHaven, which had been updated only once so far this year. The site administrator, DragonSister, announced that she is expecting a child and tells us she has been busy with work and other interests. "I hope to be able to keep existing website functionality ticking over - but I do not expect to put significant active development time in in the near future. MapHaven will continue to accept maps for Heroes 3 and Heroes 4. Whether I add Heroes 5 depends on several things." I'm not sure if there is anyone who might have the knowledge required take over the site. With its very detailed map database and its focus on mapmaking competitions, MapHaven fills an important niche in the community, in addition to carrying out Astral Wizard's mission.

Also on MapHaven are the much-belated results of the Heroes III mapmaking competition. THUNK is the grand winner, with Undergods and Mystery of the Zodiac getting some honors as well. Thanks to Vlaad for the heads-up.
